The purpose of this thesis is to investigate the tools used and the advantages of public administration students' speech applications. The results of the first data show that the H class of public administration used 7 applications for learning English. Then the results of other data show that the apps give a lot of benefits to their speaking.

His strength gives me the strength to face this life, especially in writing my thesis which is one of the requirements for my degree in the Department of English Education, Muhammadiyah University Makassar. Her classmates (Amazing class) who fought together from the beginning of the last class until now. To all her friends and loved ones who help and support the researcher in completing this task.

The modern Era has forced them to be more competitive to have more abilities and speaking is one of the most important skills. From the internet itself, the students can easily learn how to speak well either from apps or talking to their friends from all over the world to practice. To find out applications used by the students in their gadget to learn to speak English.

Since the gadget application provides benefits of learning English speaking for students, the researcher would like to observe students using applications in their gadget. The researcher used questionnaires to explore the benefits that students gain from using the applications. The research can be used as a reference for everyone else who has the same interest in the same subject area.

The research can be useful as the references to knowledge applications used by the students and the benefits when they use the applications are related to their speaking. For the researcher, the research can provide an exercise to develop her knowledge and skill in problem solving processes. The finding of the research can be useful for the researcher to find out the benefits of gadget applications for the students.

For other researchers, this research can provide general knowledge about the benefits students get from using apps for gadgets. Based on the identification of the problem, this research limited itself to investigating the applications of the aids used by the students and the benefits of the application for their speaking.

REVIEW OF RELATED LITERATURE

Previous Related Research Findings

The application was well received by these test users, as evidenced by the post-study survey, student ratings, and student usage data. The external tests showed that the technical environment of the application was feasible for production; and the operationalization of the teacher service and cost model also proved to be feasible and scalable. The differences are that it focuses on one application called Engage, but this research wants to know what types of applications are used by the students and the article focuses on how they use the application connected to the .

There are 2 research questions, the first is how the app looks and the second is how the app improved students' speaking skills. The application called E-talk, is an application to improve students' speaking skills starting from vocabulary, grammar, expression, conversation and project which are developed based on the speaking theories proposed by Harmer (2011), Goh and Burns (2012) and Louma (2004). The score for the second question shows that the app facilitates speaking practice with an average score of 1.5 out of 2.

The similarities between this thesis and the researcher's research are that this thesis talks about application and how application affected the student's speaking ability. In the second question, the thesis talks about improving vocabulary, pronunciation, fluency and comprehension through the features and activities of the application. And the researcher only focuses on how students use the application to gain good speaking ability.

Aras Nur Ahmad T in his dissertation titled "The Effect of Using Whatsapp Messenger on Student Speaking Performance in the Second Grade Students of Madrasah Aliyah Negeri (MAN) 1 Kendari". The similarity of the thesis with this research is about applications used to know the speaking of the students.

The differences between the two classes showed that integrating the WhatsApp application into the teaching of English improved the students' speaking performance in the experimental class. WhatsApp Messenger is one of the most popular applications with downloads on PlayStore, the application provider for Android users. Computer can solve more than one kind of problem at a particular time, as a series of operations can be easily changed. A laptop is a type of computer that can be folded and carried easily due to its small size and battery support for energy needed to run it.

The closed questionnaires were designed to know the benefits of the applications to learn English. The open questionnaire is to ask the applications used by the students and the closed questionnaire consists of 13 statements to know the benefits of the applications. The data in this application was to determine the benefits of the applications used for learning to speak English and the data analysis tool.

Analyzing data from the questionnaire used a Likert scale to see the benefits of apps used by millennial students for their speaking. Thus, the Likert scale was used to classify the data outcome. After analyzing the classification point above, the researcher used the formula to analyze all the data resulting in finding the classification point category.

This description outlines the benefits of applications used to teach English speaking for the millennial. Youtube in this case is linked to the applications that the students use to learn to speak English with the benefits for pronunciation and grammar. This chapter consists of two parts; the first part is about the conclusion of the research findings and the other part is about the suggestion.

Based on the outcome of the research, the researcher concluded that there are some applications that are used by the H students of Public Administration. Students will be able to more easily complete tasks or do things they want under the control of the institutions.

CONCLUSION AND SUGGESTION

Findings

The open-ended questionnaire focuses more on exploring the applications that students have in their English speaking learning tool. Based on the table above, it showed that the benefits of students in learning English speaking gained 77%. This means that it creates a positive effect and they agree that the applications have brought many advantages in terms of learning English speaking.

That was a step that the students had to face when they learned English so that they could speak well.

Discussion

Wulandari 2019 said that Instagram Vlog improves fluency, acquires vocabulary items and boosts confidence and motivation to speak. It is also linked to Instagram application in this research that the application brings benefit to the fluency and trains them to speak for the real situation. This is linked to the research of mine by used Facebook application, it improves students' speaking (oral skill).

The applications help them speak better, they can make complex sentences that fit the conversation, they can speak English more fluently and understand the words of the people they talk to better. Therefore, the teacher should encourage students in public administration to learn from applications in their gadget as they can learn from the applications more effectively and it is more fun to improve their English skills. Having the applications in their gadget as a learning tool to improve students' English skills ensures that they will be willing to communicate in English, which is commonly used in this era of globalization.

In addition, it recommended to educational institutions to provide such as WIFI to the students, especially today, the digital technologies form an inseparable part of their daily life.
