The Code for Nurses
The concept of continuing education in nursing has its origins in an initial nursing program in which nurses begin to develop a commitment to lifelong learning. Continuing education in nursing consists of planned and organized learning experiences designed to enhance the knowledge, skills, and attitudes of registered nurses for the improvement of nursing practice, education, administration, and research.

Academic Standing of Students
A student wishing to consider readmission will petition the Chair of the Executive Committee at least one semester prior to the desired date of enrollment. For additional information, write to the director of the Associate of Science in Nursing Program on the campus where enrollment is desired.
Baccalaureate Program
The Associate of Science in Nursing program has a division at Eastern Indiana University in Richmond. The Associate of Science in Nursing program is offered at two other Indiana University campuses: Kokomo and Northwest.
Overseas Study Offering
The baccalaureate curriculum consists of two years of foundation courses, followed by two years of upper division nursing courses. The two years of upper division nursing courses can be taken at the Southeast and IUPUJ campuses.

The student can apply for reinstatement at the School of Nursing by writing to the director of Student Services. The following policies apply to all students certified for matriculation at the School of Nursing.

This written request must be received by April 1 for fall recovery, February 1 for summer session recovery, and October 1 for spring recovery. Upper Division Nursing Major
The student begins to provide nursing care in the client's home and community setting. The School of Nursing offers three graduate programs leading to the Master of Science in Nursing, Clinical Nurse Specialist and Doctor of Science in Nursing degrees.
Application
This program admits registered nurses with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing who prepare for advanced nursing practice, clinical specialization, nursing administration and offers a Master of Science in Nursing degree. This program admits graduate nurses with a bachelor's degree in nursing who are preparing for scholarly research to advance the science of nursing and build theory in nursing, and for roles as a university teacher, consultant, administrator, or physician who works independently and collaborates with health care institutions. . care delivery system.
Master's Degree Program

Admission Requirements
Applicants must meet both the general requirements of the master's program in the School of Nursing and the specific requirements of the major. Specialist Degree Program
Part-time study is possible for the first 30 credit hours of the Specialist Degree Programme. The prerequisites for the last 30 credit hours of the Specialist in Clinical Nursing degree are 30 credit hours taken at the graduate level.

A student will be placed on academic probation when the cumulative grade point average falls below 3.5. Probationary status is expected to be removed within one semester or its equivalent.
