The Indiana University International Dentist Program integrates dentists trained outside the United States in the second semester of the second year of the DDS program to prepare for licensure in the United States.

Shaun Matthews, BDS, FDS, MBBS, FRCS (OMFS)
Matthews specializes in the surgical management of the temporomandibular joint (TMJ/jaw joint), pathology, orthognathic surgery and the correction of jaw trauma. He has worked in academic institutions on both sides of the Atlantic, including Charing Cross Hospital and King's College Hospital in London and the University of North Carolina Adams School of Dentistry in Chapel Hill. Polido received his DDS as well as masters and doctorates in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery.
He completed his oral and maxillofacial surgery residency at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center at Dallas/Parkland Hospital. Polido is a fellow of the International Team for Implantology (ITI) and the International Society of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery and is a member of the AAOMS and the AO-CMF. Brown received his DDS degree with honors from Howard University College of Dentistry in Washington, D.C., and completed his oral and maxillofacial surgery residency at the University of Florida College of Medicine in Jacksonville.
He is a Diplomate of the American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons and covers primary facial trauma for Methodist Hospital, Eskenazi Health, Riley Hospital for Children and St. IUSD is very grateful for volunteer oral and maxillofacial surgeons who teach predoctoral students. in the Clinic for Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery.
