William (Bill) Chung joined Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery (OMFS) and Hospital Dentistry as professor and director of the OMFS residency program. Weingarten received a standing ovation as the outgoing chairman of the Commission on Dental Competency Assessment (CDCA) after his State of the State address to about 1,100 colleagues.
