International Journal of Applied Engineering Research telah tdk terindek scopus 2011-2017 (cancelled). Jadi tergolong pada journal yang tidak terindeks scopus jadi nilai maksimumnya 20.

Ruang lingkup kedalaman pembahasan diungkapkan dengan baik namun kurang mendalam. Perhitungan akurasi dari tabel 4.2 terkait nilai 83 tidak diinformasikan pada artikel.

3. Kecukupan dan kemutakhiran data/informasi dan metodologi:

Data penelitian yang diinformasikan pada artikel kategori cukup dan relevan dengan metodologi yang dilakukan.

Artikel didukung dengan 16 referensi, 4 referensi kategori tidak mutakhir. Hasil uji similaritas artikel baik yaitu 8%.

4. Kelengkapan unsur dan kualitas terbitan:

Secara umum kelengkapan unsur artikel lengkap, namun kualitas penerbit kurang baik, contoh tiba-tiba mulai persamaan 2.6, sementara persamaan 2.1 – 2.5 tidak ada. Masih ada kesalahan dalam penulisan pada tabel 4.1 yang seharusnya titik (.) ditulis koma (,), lalu ada pernyataan “Feature extraction results in Figure 4.2 (d) are shown …”

namun tidak ada gambar 4.2 (d). Hal ini menunjukkan editor tidak mencermati konsistensi penulisan sebelum diterbitkan. Jurnal IJAER ini pernah terindeks Scopus Q4 SJR 0.12 (tahun 2015) namun status cancelled (20112017).

Abstract

Malaria is a medical emergency that must be treated immediately at this time because it has been infecting millions of people in 90 countries every year. Malaria is caused by a parasite that infects red blood cells transmitted through the bite of Anopheles. One species of plasmodium causing malaria is plasmodium falciparum. This type of plasmodium can lead to malaria tertian which is a malignant malaria type and threatening the life of its sufferer. This study aims to design a system capable of identifying the development phase of plasmodium falciparum in red blood cells with adaptive color segmentation and decision tree based classification. Color segmentation process in this study is done by converting the original image color space based on the color components of RGB (Red, Green, Blue) to HSV color space (Hue, Saturation, Value) then thresholding against Saturation component. The used morphological parameters to distinguish the type of plasmodium falciparum development phase are the area ratio and eccentricity. While the classification process is performed using decision tree algorithm results in 87.67% of accuracy. © Research India Publications.
