Top engineering students at Alfred University presented signed books from Kazuo Inamori 5/16/18

ALFRED, NY – The top four graduates from the Inamori School of Engineering at Alfred University were presented copies of a book written and signed by the School’s namesake, Dr. Kazuo Inamori.

Copies of Inamori’s book, A Compass to Fulfillment Passion and Spirituality in Life and Business, were presented to graduating seniors Sierra Kucko, Nicholas Tostanoski and Frangelico Del Rosario, at a School of Engineering

reception after commencement exercises Saturday, May 12.

Also receiving a copy of the book was Taylor Kelley, who was unable to attend the reception. Kelley was honored at commencement as the top senior (highest grade-point average) in the Inamori School of Engineering.

Kucko, a resident of Binghamton, NY, and a graduate of Chenango Forks High School, earned a bachelor’s degree in biomaterials engineering. Tostanoski, from Painted Post, NY, and a graduate of Corning-Painted Post High School, and De Rosario, from Mahopac, NY, and a graduate of Mahopac High School, earned bachelor’s degrees in materials science and engineering. Kelley, from Wellsville, NY, and a graduate of Andover Central High School, earned a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering.

Alfred University’s Kazuo Inamori School of Engineering is named for Inamori, founder and chairman emeritus of Kyocera Corporation, a multinational ceramics and electronics manufacturer headquartered in Kyoto, Japan. A Compass to Fulfillment Passion and Spirituality in Life and Business was first published in Japan in 2009 and is an international bestseller. In it, Inamori relays his unique ideas about the critical relationship between personal fulfillment and business success.
