Should /shouldn’t
Should is used to say mild obligation or advice.
Example : you should take some medicine for your headache.
Shouldn’t is used to say mild negative obligatin or advice.
Example : you shouldn’t smoke
Pattern: s + should + v1
Should be +verb-ing
The sentences using should be +verb-ing shows about a present regret. It is unfulfilled obligation in the present. In the other words it tells about an activity that should be done in the present , but it is not.
Example :
Some students are playing truant in the school canteen in their lesson time. They should be studying in the class.
