Chicago, Ill.
May 3, 1904 My dear Proffessor:
Will you kindly inform me where the little fritt kiln is made and if possible its cost?
I suppose that you will see about having a certificate made out for me, so when I come East in September I can get it together with the picture of that large vase.
If you should learn of a good position any where and don’t have any one to fill it, that is if it is a very profitable one, I would be pleased if you would place me in communication with it.
I haven’t talked with Miss Hollister about the possibilities of this position but will do so before long. I do not believe that the inducements will be very big for some time so I am not planning to stay any length of time if something better turns up.
I received Hugh’s letter today. I’m feeling real well at present and am enjoying the work fairly well. The only trouble is, I haven’t enough to keep me busy. The kiln works very nicely and we have some very good matt glazes from the first firing.
Remember me to Mrs. Binns, Yours respectfully,
Fred E. Walrath 356 East 56 St.
