The objectives of this research were to investigate students' difficulties in using photography, to know the cause of students' difficulties in using photography, and to investigate the solution to overcome difficulties in using photography to promote writing skills. The interview was conducted to investigate factors and solutions to overcome students' difficulties in photographing research objectives.

Therefore, we can conclude that the writing ability of the eleventh grade at GŠO N 1 Pekalongan is low. Photography is one of the learning media that can be used in teaching narrative text.

Research Questions

Data Resources

The primary resource is the data source provided directly to the researcher, such as documentation and archive. The secondary resource is data resource that indirectly provided the data to researcher, such as English literature on the use of photo in teaching writing. Was collected from the process of collecting data that was compiled and discarded to achieve research objectives by describing the results of the interview sorting and compiling the data based on the order of the research responses.

After the data is compiled and prepared, researchers read the data in detail by sorting and compiling based on the type of research responses. In this research, the researcher applied a case study because the researcher wants to explore the an analysis of the use of photo in writing among the eleventh graders at sma n 1 pekalongan, east lampung. The researcher wants to help other researcher to know deeply about the an analysis of the use of photo in writing among the eleventh grade students at sma n 1 pekalongan, east lampung.

In this step, the researcher organized the data and selected the data from the data source so that the data needed and discussed are ready for research. In this case, the researcher has marked and obtained the text or data to be researched, dividing the sentences or words according to the category of data source. Therefore, so that the data can be easily obtained, then the researcher interpreted and gave a description of the meaning or category of the word.

Result of the Research

This caused a very high interest from the public to send their children to Sma Negeri 1 Pekalongan, which even exceeded the available capacity. The economic situation of Pekalongan and the surrounding communities is quite heterogeneous, but still dominated by farmers, about 26% of the population is relatively undernourished, but this is not a barrier to sending their children. In line with the rapid global development and increasing challenges for future generations and the desire of the community to have quality schools recognized at the regional, national and even international levels, Sma Negeri 1 Pekalongan Kabupaten Lampung Timur is expected to realize the result of students who are responsive and capable of overcoming various challenges in global competition.

One of the efforts that will be considered to be able to realize this is by projecting itself on a change of vision and mission that will be developed towards a national school of international standards. To achieve the mission vision, there must be support, especially in the government c/q Education Office as well as local governments and local communities that care about schools in accelerating the achievement of 8 educational standards set by BNSP and improving the direction to achieve international standards.

Description of Research Result

This means that 83% of students state that there is an online oral explanation in the process of writing the report text in English. This causes students to have difficulty in pouring out or describing the information contained in the image in the form of writing. The results of the students' interview explained that oral explanations .. are necessary especially if they have difficulty understanding an image in the process of writing the text of the report.

This means that 41% of the students indicate that there is intensive dialogue while writing the report text in English. The results of the student interview show that an intensive dialogue is needed, especially if they have difficulty understanding an image while writing the report. text. Based on the results of the student's English assignment documentation in the form of a text report, students are known to have different writing skills - assessed differently from parts - writing parts according to JB heaton namely content, organization, vocabulary, language use, mechanics.

Based on the results of the documentation of children's English assignments in the form of text report, (1) in the content section there are 0% of students who are classified as excellent, 58% of students are classified as good to average, 41% of students are classified in fair to poor category, 0% students are classified as very poor, (2) in the organization there is 0%. This means that students who are busy writing the report text are not due to their lack of mastery of grammar.
