Involved in a number of similar scheme audit activities (ISPO) since April 2013 covering land legality, worker welfare, occupational health and safety, transparency, long-term economic aspect and supply chain for palm oil mill. The company has already prepared and implemented corrective measures, which were reviewed and accepted by the auditor in the form of documented evidence, e.g. The company socialized in relation to the policy of ethical behavior of employees and staff.

Water resources/bodies within the company's HGU were identified namely: Pendiri River, Punggur River and Penaso River. On the basis of a field visit to the KM1 housing, it is known that there are sprays with chemicals on the buffer zone of the tank and there is no sign prohibiting the use of chemicals.

Non conformity with Major Category 4.5

Based on observations and interviews with operators at Mandau Estate 1, Mandau Estate 2 and Mandau Estate 6, it is known that training regarding the use of chemicals is routinely carried out. The on-site verification showed that the company properly handles agrochemical waste, including used pesticide packaging, in accordance with applicable regulations. From the results of field observation at the Mill and Estate and interviews with staff, it is known that staff received training on their work.

Based on interviews with some of the staff, it is known that the entire staff is registered with the Manpower Health Insurance Scheme/BPJS. This was evidence that staff understood their roles and responsibilities and could also demonstrate how to work correctly and adequately in accordance with procedures. The Certificate Holders have an employee training record stored for each unit in the employee training assessment document. Based on interviews with employees, it is known that employees are trained according to the work being performed.

The company has provided evidence of training programs involving HCV and important socialization of sorts. Based on interviews, it is known that employees are aware of the company's policy on RTE protection. The company has not yet implemented the protection of flora and fauna according to SOP Estate No.

The company's policy for the protection of RTE species stated in PSV no. 15, revised March 1, 2016, made through HCV signage, prohibited from hunting and trapping. According to the result of a field visit to the replanting area, such as on Block B126 of Mandau Utara Estate 6; Block 14AMandau Selatan Estate 2 and Block 15B Mandau Selatan Estate 1, the implementation for the plant preparation has been done adequately based on SOP such as: making terrace, LCC planting and stacking the dead palm oil pants and rubber plants (land conversion is carried out mechanically).

Use of diesel fuel for generators, mitigation measures: scheduled maintenance to minimize solar use, monitoring of solar use (Kwh/litre of diesel), GHG emissions in diesel use are CO2, CH4 and NO2. Use of fibers and shells, mitigation measures: use of fibers and shells in the boiler to reduce diesel fuel use. In addition to the main sewage treatment ponds, the company provided sludge (disposal pond) to separate the sludge waste.

Based on document review, known that the company has made a payment in accordance with the payment procedure provided in the agreement. The Company has a human rights policy contained in the Sustainability Policy of KLK (KLK Sustainable Policy). Based on the results of interviews with workers, it is known that the company has implemented policies to respect human rights.

The soil survey result (printed on April 16, 2011) conducted by PT AAR Indonesia (PT Applied Agricultural Resources Indonesia) describes the soil suitability class, soil type, soil fertility level and topography. The mill must also comply with all registration and reporting requirements for the applicable supply chain by the RSPO supply chain management organization (RSPO IT platform or book and claim). Mandau POM is registered and complies with the requirement of supply chain reform using RSPO IT platform with member registration number: RSPO_PO1000000411 and sublicense ID: CB50630. Documented procedures .1

Security officers in the initial verification of incoming FFB, while weighbridge operator is responsible for recording incoming FFB weight (certified) and outgoing CPO shipment (certified). The company has not been able to show evidence of compliance with Decree No. of the Minister of Labor and Transmigration. However, the company has not been able to provide proof that overtime wages have been paid. The company still employs workers in the field who do not have a working relationship with the company.
