This course is one of the general courses given in 5th semester (odd semester)

Teaching methods used in this course are:
Lectures (i.e., small group discussions, student centered learning, assignment methods, teaching practice practices, cased methods, and project based learning)
Structured assignments (i.e., essays and case studies)
Practice (i.e., case studies regarding cases of intolerance that occurred in Indonesia and the prevalence of hoax information)
The class size for lecture is 30 students.
Contact hours for lecture is 40 hours, assignments (structured tasks) is 48 hours and learn individually 48 hours
Workload For this course, students are required to meet a minimum of 131 hours in one semester, which consist of:
-35 hours for lecture,
-48 hours for structured assignments, -48 hours for learn individually.
Credit points 3 credit points (equivalent with 4.5 ECTS) Requirements

Students must have attended all classes and submitted all class assignments that are scheduled before the final tests.

Course Learning Outcomes :
1. Understanding the study of the methodology of scientific thinking in an Islamic perspective (25)
2. Understanding the basic concepts of Islamic teachings (25) 3. Explaining teachings concerning the relationship between
humans and God (worship and mu'amalah aspects), human relations with humans, and humans with nature (mu'amalah mu'amalah/human social relations) (25)
4. Implementing moral and divine values in the life of society, nation and state (25)
Content Students will learn about:
The philosophical and theological foundations of PAI in higher education, the concept of God, humans, and religion in building harmony, the concept of the Qur'an, as-Sunnah, and ijtihad in building culture, the concept of morality in the development of science, technology, art, and work ethic, conception Islam in fostering family, community, state, and environment, and Islamic perspective on contemporary issues.

Assessment is carried out based on written examinations, assessment/evaluation of the learning process and performance with the following components: Structured tasks: 50% Mid Test:
20% Final Test: 30%

- Students must attend 15 minutes before the class starts.
- Students must switch off all electronic devices.
- Students must inform the lecturer if they will not attend the class due to sickness, etc.
- Students must submit all class assignments before the deadline.
- Students must attend the exam to get final grade.
