Articles On Demand

The Articles On Demand service allows faculty to request and receive copies of journal articles not available in the Library’s collections without Library staff intervention.

University Library will absorb the cost of the copies, which ranges from approximately $19 to $64.

The Articles On Demand program began with a successful pilot with faculty in the School of Science in 2015.

The program is currently only available to IUPUI faculty.

(11)

IUPUI UNIVERSITY LIBRARY

Rationale

Articles On Demand

• Articles On Demand complements the Interlibrary Loan service by adding an unmediated method for faculty to request articles.

• Purchasing articles upon request saves the Library money compared to subscription costs.

• The program effectively expands the Library’s journal holdings by adding access to thousands of journals with a few clicks.
