Freddy gives much of the credit for his success to his father and his FFA advisor, Dean Bennett. Freddy has most of the equipment he needs to run his farm, but shares some with his father. Freddy became a member of the Eloy FFA Chapter when it was formed five years ago.
Freddy has a long and distinguished record of service in the FFA, having served as chair of the Parliamentary Procedures Team which was placed first in his district. Accompanied by their advisors, they come from schools across the state to participate in an organized leadership training and recreation program that emphasizes well-rounded development of the individual. Now he is senior vice president of one of the state's larger banks (The Trust Company of Georgia).
At the same time, he chooses replacements for his flock based on how well the mother performed, the type of lamb and weight data. The four to six lambs selected for spring earlier this year are showing a grain ration and are in good condition 'because they stay quite hard all the time', as A.

As National Officers of the FFA, we had studied a lot about the Foundation and were quite familiar with the Foundation's awards program for FFA members who do outstanding work. They signed up with the Future Farmer organization and have decided to now spend that money encouraging FFA members. We noticed that these businessmen were deeply concerned about the future of our American system of competitive, free enterprise.
Farmers are also businesspeople, and donors see farmers as allies in their fight to preserve our free enterprise system. I got the impression that donors are really sold on the FFA idea of offering activities that will retain members. The 'Jeep' pays its dues every day of the year, whether it's transporting you around your farm or between farms to town, or operating farm implements.

Two weeks later, several of the students were invited to be guests of the dean and his wife. at their lodge on Moose River. The river in front of the lodge flowed calmly along the coast, but further away the current became fast and powerful. Don grabbed a book, left his companions, and threw himself on the ground in the shade of a towering pine. He jumped to his feet, but it took him a few seconds to determine the source of the excitement.
I believe it is much more than one stops to think about. The whole credo of FFA is about working with others, respecting other people, honest wealth and believing in the best traditions that will help influence "my house and my commune".

From a young age, he was taught and trained by his father to be the player he is today. He played the 1949 season with the Independence, Missouri minor league team and hit for a .313 average. In 1950 he was sent to the Joplin, Missouri team where he raised his average to .383 and hit 26 home runs.
Arizona, the Yankee coaches thought he was ready for the majors, and Mickey headed north with the team. Mickey played 96 games with the Yankees in 1951 before the coaching staff decided he needed more experience and sent him to Kansas City. 1952 for his first full season with the team and began to show the form expected of him.
He finished the season with a .353 batting average, drove in 130 runs and hit 52 home runs to lead both leagues in those departments.
