Anamnesa
• Pernah diberikan injeksi biodin dan pemberian obat cacing pada tahun 2023.
• Pakan yang diberikan adalah daun jagung, batang jagung, rumput dan kadang-kadang diberikan pakan campuran dari polard, padi dan konsentrat.
• Kesediaan air cukup.
• Kambing kacang dipelihara secara semi-intensif
• keratinasi/kerak dan alopecia pada kulit area wajah, hidung, telinga dan punggung serta bulu kusam.
• Sering menggosokan tubuh pada pinggiran kandang akibat adanya rasa gatal yang timbul.
• Tubuh terlihat kurus.
• Pergerakan masih aktif.
• Vaksinasi belum dilakukan.
Pemeriksaan Fisik
Suhu tubuh : 38,8 ℃
Frekuensi Respirasi : 18 kali/menit
Frekuensi Jantung : 100 kali/menit
Frekuensi Pulsus : 75 kali/menit
Area wajah : Keratinasi area mata dan hidung, tidak ada pembengkakan
Area Mulut : Tidak adanya lesi, mukosa pucat
Turgor kulit : <2 detik
Tubuh : Kurus
Muskuloskeletal : tidak ada pembengkakan maupun lesi
Anus : Bersih
Pemeriksaan Penunjang
Metode kerokan yang dalam pada kulit (deep skin scrapings)
Pengambilan sampel dilakukan dengan menggunakan scalpel, dan dilakukan kerokan pada kulit sampai berdarah.
Hasil kerokan diletakan pada object glass. Sampel kemudian ditetesi dengan KOH, lalu ditutup dengan cover glass dan diamati dibawah mikroskop.
Hasil yang diperoleh adalah tungau Sarcoptes scabiei

Pada hasil pemeriksaan mikroskopis ditemukan adanya sedimentasi berupa kristal struvit.
Diagnosa Tentatif dan Prognosa
Berdasarkan anamnesa, gejala klinis, pemeriksaan fisik, pemeriksaan hematologi, diagnosa tentatif ditetapkan kambing kacang mengalami skabiosis dengan dampak dapatan yaitu anemia normositik hipokromik.
Prognosa kasus ini adalah Fausta.
Terapi
Terapi yang diberikan pada kasus bersifat kausatif, simptomatis, dan suportif.
Terapi kausatif dengan pemberian Ivomec. Dosis pemberian 1 ml/50 kg secara s.c. Lama pemberian selama 20 hari dengan 2 kali pengulangan setiap 10 hari.
Terapi simptomatis : vetadryl, dosis anjuran 0,75 ml/30 kg BB secara i.m dan amitraz 1 ml dicampurkan dengan 100 ml air disemprotkan sekali seminggu selama dua minggu
Terapi suportif : hematodin dan vitamin E
Simpulan
Berdasarkan serangkain pemeriksaan yang telah dilakukan maka kambing kacang diketahui mengalami anemia normositik hipokromik yang ditandai dengan adanya penurunan hemoglobin dan indeks eritrosit (MCH dan MCHC). Selain itu, terjadi peningkatan leukosit (leukositosis), neutrofilia, basofilia dan limfositopenia yang berkaitan dengan respon tubuh terhadap adanya infeksi tungau Sarcoptes scabiei.
Penemuan hasil urinalisis ditemukannya adanya kandungan methemoglobin dalam urin dan adanya sedimentasi berupa kristal struvite.
1. Peternak disarankan untuk mengisolasi atau memisahkan kambing yang terinfeksi skabies guna meminimalisirkan penularan terhadap kambing lainnya.
2. Peternak haruslah lebih memperhatikan kualitas dan kandungan pakan.
3. Peternak diharapkan selalu menjaga kebersihan diri saat kontak dengan kambing yang terinfeksi mengingat skabies dapat menular pada manusia.
