Tablet salut selaput merupakan tablet kompresi yang dilapisi dengan selaput tipis dari polimer yang larut maupun tidak larut dalam air maupun membentuk lapisan yang meliputi tablet.
Selaput ini pecah dalam saluran lambung-usus.
Tablet salut dibagi dalam beberapa jenis, diantaranya adalah tablet salut gula, tablet salut kompres ganda, tablet salut selaput, dan tablet salut enterik

formulasi tablet salut teofilin menggunakan eksipien koproses pregelatinisasi pati singkong – metilselulosa
sebagai bahan penyalut
Metode Uji Evaluasi
Evaluasi tablet inti dan tablet salut meliputi uji organoleptik, diameter, ketebalan dan keseragaman berat, kekerasan, kerapuhan, dan uji hancur tablet. Pada tablet salut dilakukan evaluasi tambahan yaitu persen kenaikan berat, penentuan kadar Se dan analisis proksimat serta kadar serat kasar.
Tablet inti dibuat dengam metode granulasi basah dengan larutan pelapis PVA

Tablet inti dibuat dengan menggunakan metode granulasi basah dengan larutan pelapis PPS dan Koproses PPS-MC 4:1
