journal was established in 2006 and developed by the Department of Nursing, Faculty of Health Science, Jenderal Soedirman University
Jurnal Keperawatan Soedirman (JKS) covers all nursing area including basic research in nursing, management nursing, emergency, and critical nursing, medical-surgical nursing, mental health nursing, maternity nursing, pediatric nursing, gerontological nursing, community nursing, family nursing education nursing, complementary and alternative medicine (CAM) in nursing. The Jurnal
Keperawatan Soedirman publishes 3 times a year in March, July, and November.
JKS is published by Universitas Jenderal Soedirman.

Start from March 2016, Based on Excerpts and Decrees of the Minister of Research and Technology / Head of the National Research and Innovation Agency, with Number: 21/E/KPT/2018, Jurnal
Keperawatan Soedirman has national accredited SINTA 2 (2nd Grade Journal). The national accreditation is valid until 2020. Then, Journal Keperawatan Soedirman extend the national accreditation up to 2025 based on Excerpts and Decrees of the Minister of Research and Technology
/ Head of the National Research and Innovation Agency, with Number: 148/M/KPT/2025.
Additionally, Jurnal Keperawatan Soedirman indexed by Scopus since March 2022.
