Identity

Has 2 authors. They are Nihada Delibegovic Dzanic and Alisa Pejic.

Nihada is PhD, is one of the member Associate Professor of English Language and Linguistics at the University of Tuzla, Bosnia and Herzegovina. She teaches linguistics courses at undergraduate and postgraduate levels. She holds a PhD. in Linguistics from the University of Osijek, Croatia. Her main interests are cognitive linguistics and phraseology.

2nd author is Alisa Pejic, she is one of the member of English Departement in Osnovna škola Mejdan, Bosnia and Herzegovina.

Rationale

Quite simple, and because we all know if music and songs are fun

activity. The method from the

journal can be a reference when

the teachers teach the students.

Method

For the purpose of this study, consisting of students aged between 7 and 8 years, taught in different conditions. One class is shown audio recordings of the songs, while the second class is taught with video songs that include

lyrics. To test the level of motivation provided by the songs, the students

filled out a questionnaire.

he journal shows that student learning in elementary schools shows an increase because teachers use methods using auditory

visual media or only auditory ones. Songs can increase interest and motivate students to

learn English.
