and
Ihavehesitated to give it specific rank, butit differs fromthat speciesby
the following characters: the shell is thinnerand more
compressed; the escutcheon is narrower and longerand
less emphatically impressed; the sculpturerises insharp thinlowlamellae, especiallyontheposterior area, whichcontrast with the thicker, blunterand more
irregularly distributed ridges of L.minuta. There are about eight large
and
seven crowded small anterior teeth,anarrowobliqueresiliferand
abouttwenty, nearlyallwelldeveloped posterior teeth. Length 13.5;height6;diameter4mm. The
