In Thailand, Family Mart established Siam Family Mart with Robinson Department Store Public Co., Ltd., Saha Pathanapibul Public Co., Ltd., and Itochu (Thailand) Ltd. In Kagoshima, Family Mart and Homboshoten Co., Ltd. founded Minami Kyushu Family Mart Co., Ltd. China) established Family Mart in cooperation with Tinghsi (Cayman Islands) Holding Corporation, Taiwan Family Mart Co., Ltd., Itochu Corporation and CITIC Trust & Investment Co., Ltd.

On the other hand, in Vietnam, Family Mart was established by VI NA Family Mart Co., Ltd. China) with two partners: Ting Chuan (Cayman Islands) Holding Corporation and Taiwan Family Mart Co., Ltd. Thus, in Indonesia, the opening of the Family Mart store in Indonesia is the result of cooperation with PT.

Family Mart's core organization is to sell merchandise in the store and make sure the entire supply chain runs smoothly.

Product and services

This business includes concerns of choosing the right supplier or commonly called as "Principle", choosing the right goods that would like to sell in each store, making strategy to boost the sales every month, making ensure that the supply chain circulation is well managed, starting from delivering the goods from producer to warehouse and distributing the goods from warehouse to each store. The activities to be done each month according to strategy are also determined by the promotion of every two weeks in a month or fortnightly. How to negotiate with the supplier to give attractive promotion of their products and it will be placed on brochure every two weeks.

Marketing department in determining the strategy they use to promote the store or products start with promotion in social media like IG, designing like poster making and all print media also done in this department. The thing is, this department helps the merchandising department. Store Operation covers the activities of each store, what problems arise and how to solve them. The point is that this company is a retail company that sells the products in each store and gains profit from the sales and from the supplier who cooperates with this company in terms of fixed promotion.

Fast food category products in Family Mart Indonesia selling snacks which are a combination of Indonesian food, Japanese food and Asian food, such as a traditional snack such as fried bakwan, fried tofu, fried sausage, then there is oden, a popular Japanese snack, yakitori , Onigiri . There are also pao, siomay and dim sum, and ready meals such as fried chicken, fried rice and many other ready meals. The main merchandise sold in this store is grocery products which consists of many categories, firstly are food products; which also consist of some subcategories such as snacks and cookies, candies, beverages, cooking and spices, and refill gallon.

And each sub-category also has sub-sub-categories like crackers consist of import crackers and local crackers. Beverages also consist of many kinds, starting from tea, milk, coffee, cola, mineral water, juice, etc. It consists of some sub-sub-categories such as personal care, cleaning products, household or household items, general merchandise (cloths, socks, gloves, etc. ), phone credits and payment services.

With Ocean Freight's wide range of products covering different types of equipment and consolidation services, DHL ensures that cargo reaches the right place, at the right time in a cost-effective manner. DHL works with a spread of ocean carriers covering major carrier alliances with scheduled space protection from every major container port in the world to deliver reliability.

Value Added Service consists of many varieties, the first is Industrial Project which deals with industrial needs and has many features such as Customs Brokerage, PO Management, Ocean Chartering, Air Chartering, Transport Engineering and many more;. Shipping/Receiving, Temperature Room- Shipping/Receiving Control, Overload and Movement of industrial projects; the third is DHL Rail Line which provides HQ and LCL package size rail services of FCL container size, it provides Door to. 11 Door, Door to Station and Station to Door for FCL (Containerized) and LCL Cargo Solutions.

IN DHL GLOBAL FORWARDING INDONESIA

The main task that I do is administrative stuff aimed at helping to make sales performance reporting. Since sales has a task to search any business to be next potential new customers or to maintain the relations with the customer that already exists. Once they get the customers who want to use DHL services, it can be decided as new opportunities.

These opportunities should be pursued as soon as possible and should not normally take more than 4 months. If the opportunities are more than 4 months, it is suggested that they be closed and I am the one to close them in SAP system so that SAP system is clear and each sales opportunity list is clean and well organized. The churn data itself is a file that shows the progress of each sector that DHL Indonesia is in of each sales force.

DHL interns also had a chance to visit the warehouse, which is Unex Warehouse, to learn how the export and import loading process in the warehouse starts from the moment the goods come to the warehouse from the sender until they are packed to go to to send to the recipient. e) Tracking and charting the progress of sales associates or sales management progress in specific times. I also help track and chart some data on the progress of sales guidance and sales support. For example, if a sales lead followed up on ten customers within a week, that means I need to track and map those ten customers.

There are many other administrative things from senior sales management or from the senior sales manager (my SPV). This can be similar to finding the industry type of many of the listed companies by doing a Google search. Help especially in directing sales when working on a deadline or helping staff who have many tasks and little time to complete them.

I know some of the sectors that DHL focuses on, such as technology, life sciences and healthcare, engineering and manufacturing, and automotive. Knowing how the marketing and sales department of a forwarding company works, I can see how the marketing and sales department of a forwarding company works. I can sometimes finish my task before the deadline and ask the sales staff for the next task.

Since many tasks have to do with an urgent deadline, it trains me to work focused and avoid any distractions. I have learned and just know that each type of goods also have different treatment to keep in the warehouse, for example if there are dangerous goods such as substances and chemicals which are hazardous and need to be kept in a certain area with a specific treatment. Doing an internship here for four months allows me to adapt to many characteristics of people from different demographic backgrounds.

I can work well with a senior manager who has already become a mother, and I can also work with young employees under the age of 30. As I mentioned in number 1, my internship at DHL taught me many things about logistics, international trade and supply chain. . Internship at DHL helps students to better understand personal strength by using my strengths such as active and passive English fluency, communication skills and my detail-orientedness in every task I do here.

I can also overcome the weakness like hard to wake up early be able to wake up so early as I have to catch the bus office early in the morning and many others. I learn how the logistics company situation, I learn to work fast and focus, manage time, work as fast as possible, work focus, be able to work under pressure, operate excel, and increase detail orientation. Perhaps this internship will not significantly help in retail careers but will help with better understanding or knowledge of supply chain.
