SUNDAY MORNING, SEPTEMBER 12
On Sunday morning, the last day of .the Association, a very large congregation assembled at the stand near Pine Hill Church house. The crowd, while very large and from many different churches and from different parts of the country, was a well ordered crowd and during the whole time of the services was extremely attentive and appeared to be and no doubt was, very greatly interested.
The preaching from the ministers on that day was very ably de- livered and the Lord undoubtedly bless€d them with the liberty of the spirit. Eld. Dawson used as his text the following scripture: "Having Loved His Own He Loved Them To the End," and from this he deliver- ed an able and edifying discourse. Elder Osborne's text recorded in
the 15th Chap. of Luke, 6 V. He too delivered a·very able and instruc- tive discourse, which was well received. The Moderator closed with a short discourse, from the following scripture recorded in the loth · Chap. of Heb.: "After Ye Were llluminated Ye Endured a Great Fight of Afflictions."
All of the preaching during the whole Association was a oneness on the doctrine of salvation by grace wrought out in the Son, and of God's eternal soyereignty.

QBITUARIES ELD. W. H. CHAMBERS
Elder William H. Chambers, one of the oldest members of the Red River Association, and a minister in the Association for more than forty years, was called to his eternal home on the 18th day,of November, 1936,
at his home of Stillwater Creek in Wolfe County, Kentucky. Elder Chambers was a member of Stillwater Church, where he united in early life. He was born on the 8th day of April, 1860, and during the last years of his life he had suffered a great deal of physical pain, but. he endured it patiently with much christian fortitude._ He loved the cause of Zion, and firmly believed in the doctrine of salvation by grace and lived and died in the full triumph of a living faith. His funeral was conducted at Stillwater Church by Eld. W. L_ Kash, his cousin and yoke- fellow in the gospel for many years, and he was laid to rest in the old family cemetery near the church to await the resurrection.
CHRISTIANNE PLUMMER BUSH
Christianne Plummer Bush, better known as "Aunt Ann" Bush, ha.s been called to her reward since our last Association, and the following obituary was read at her funeral: "Christianne Plummer Bush was born August 24, 1852; died August 11, 1937; age -84 years, 11 months and 16 days. She was united in matrimony to Jeff Bush sixty-two years ago.
To this union was born ten children, of which seven survive-Mrs. Cain Spencer, J. J. Bush, Mrs. Jim Holden, John P. Bush, Mrs. Wm. Adams, Clarence Bush, E. P. Bush; and three broth2rs, Messrs. Henry Plummer, Matt Plummer, and Anderson Plummer. She was an active member of the Baptist Church for more than forty years. She was a dutiful wife and loving mother."
Her funeral was conducted by Eld. W. L. Kash at old Pine Hill church in the presence of a large crowd and she was laid to rest in the old Bush cemetery nearby. "Aunt Ann" was long noted for her kindness and hospitality, for she was good and kind to all. Her aged companion,
"Uncle Jeff" Bush, still survives.
NOAH LOVELY
One of our old soldiers of the cross, Brother Noah Lovely, has been called from our midst since we last met. He was a devoted member of Hopewell Church, where the Association was held at our last session, before this one, and was sound in doctrine and order, and left a bright hope of his future reward, which he considered was not reckoned of debt, but of grace. His family and brethren mourn his departure.
