Role of Self-Efficacy to Work Stress on Teachers for Children with Special Needs

ABSTRACT
Interacting with children with special needs requires more skills and effort, often teachers in the teaching process teachers experience high work stress. Teacher work stress can affect the process and learning outcomes. This study aims to see whether there is a relationship between Self-Efficacy and Work Stress on Teachers for Children with Special Needs. This study uses a correlational quantitative research design. Data were collected use Self efficacy scale by Sherer and Maddux. And Teacher Stress inventory by Fimian. Population on this research teacher with special need children was conduct by purposive sampling. Samples in this study were 30 teachers. The data analysis used was pearson correlation to analyze correlation between self-efficacy and work stress. This research shows that is significant relationship between self-efficacy and work stress on teacher with special need children (r=
608, p<0.05). This research is expected to provide suggestions for teacher, school, counsellor and streak holder to improve teacher self-efficacy to reduce work stress. Future research investigates the SES, ethnicity, personality, teacher well-being and work clime to reduce work stress
