Ozone concentration significantly affects life quality of the people in an area. Ozone concentration that exceeds certain thresholds in heavily populated areas like most cities may be harmful for health and can even cause death. However, ozone monitoring has only so far been carried out at fixed sampling points using stationary instruments or conducted with manual recording instruments at certain sampling points. These types of measurements cannot represent the whole suburban areas that tend to be wide and populous. This paper proposes a mobile model of measuring ozone concentration with the integration of ozone sensors and Global Positioning System (GPS) sensor circuit. Measured data are acquired by the microprocessor, saved in a data base and analysis results are linked to a web mapping service.
Measurements are carried out by encircling the intended urban areas. Results show that data from ozone sensors and measurement coordinates (latitude and longitude) can be stored in the data base and can visually be observed on the web mapping service in the form of spatial distribution of measurement points. Quantities of ozone concentration measurement results for a wide area can be seen on the data base. The system developed here is capable of monitoring environmental condition by acquiring ozone concentration distribution values. @ 2018 IEEE.

Published in: 2018 Third International Conference on Informatics and Computing (ICIC) Abstract:
Staff Website of one of big universities in Indonesia is a portal for access and information about lecturers, staff, and researchers in the university. However, the website has not fulfilled its main function. This is because the searching mechanism on the website has not matched the user's expectation, and the interface of the website is not very attractive. This research describes a project to measure the usability and user experience of the Staff Website. The evaluation results show that the website has not reached the required level of usability and user experience. Based on these results we developed an alternative design and formulated a better search mechanism for the website. This research is expected to improve the
deficiencies of the Staff Website. System Usability Scale (SUS) was used to measure the usability and User Experience Questionnaire (UEQ) to measure the broader aspect of user experience. In addition, a usability test was done to get qualitative data that could be used to improve the website and especially the search mechanism. The result of this research was a measurement of usability level, design alternative, and formulation of the search mechanism in the Staff Website. From this research, we concluded that the usability of the Staff Website needs improvement, and based on the survey results, it was urgent to generate an alternative design and a searching mechanism such as making an advanced searching mechanism, sorting and filtering buttons, and more. The new design was further evaluated with SUS and UEQ, and the results show that the website has significantly improved.

Authors Abstract:
The evolution of immersive mobile multimedia currently witnesses synergies between two emerging technologies, i.e., fifth generation (5G) mobile networks and advanced extended reality (XR) human-machine interfaces (HMIs). While 5G mobile networks aim to cater for ultra-reliable low-latency communications among many other applications, advanced XR HMIs have matured to support immersive experiences in different levels of computer-generated virtual worlds. In this position paper, we therefore review fundamentals, discuss opportunities, challenges, and enablers toward interconnected immersive mobile multimedia. In particular, an overview of immersive mobile multimedia from mobile video to mobile 360 video, mobile virtual reality (VR), mobile augmented reality (AR), mobile mixed reality (MR), and mobile XR is provided along with major components of interconnected immersive mobile multimedia.
Opportunities in terms of applications in different vertical industries are pointed out. I. Introduction
The evolution of mobile communication networks has witnessed tremendous advances in radio technologies, service portfolios, and applications. While the early generations of mobile networks such as 1G and 2G systems have predominately offered voice services, the era of mobile multimedia was entered with the development and deployment of 3G mobile networks and its predecessors leading to 4G systems known as long term evolution (LTE) and LTE Advanced. Specifically, the large demand on visual stimuli and richer visual content has been one of the driving forces behind the development of such current and future generations of mobile networks.

Published in: 2018 Third International Conference on Informatics and Computing (ICIC) Abstract:
In recent papers [1], [2] we introduced a novel approach to the deployment of wireless infrastructure by scalable, distributed, decentralised MIMO. SDD-MIMO is a novel wireless network architecture specifically intended for wireless broadband infrastructure whose aggregate capacity and range scale as service antenna nodes are added to the network. We previously considered the physical and engineering constraints of such a system [1] and produced a compelling deployment simulation of wireless broadband for an over-the-horizon transoceanic troposcatter link of 155 kms extent [2]. The key issue is how to achieve scalable broadband over a long range. In this paper we discuss the engineering and physical constraints from a practical perspective. We take a close look at how the beam-forming process works. We propose a novel definition of capacity expressed in terms of the correlation between the received and transmitted signals. We demonstrate through Monte-Carlo simulations that this capacity agrees well with that previously derived for cell-free massive MIMO [3]. Moreover, the Monte-Carlo simulation allows us to explore the fluctuations in capacity versus the size of the network. We show that the capacity per user converges to the theoretical value as the network increases in size. For the SDD-MIMO network work to function, one must also solve the problem of global synchronisation of radio carrier frequencies and information symbols. We show that a well known low-cost GPS technique may be used to achieve this goal. Finally we take a look at what is probably the main constraint of distributed MIMO: the communication of beam-forming information across the Internet back-haul. We present some preliminary results demonstrating that adequate throughputs and latencies can be exnected.

Published in: 2018 Third International Conference on Informatics and Computing (ICIC) Abstract:
Manual searching for vacant parking spaces in shopping malls is a tedious process, especially during the weekends and public holidays. It is rather troublesome for consumers to drive around without any directions in search for an empty parking space. Previous studies have confirmed that majority of the drivers experience difficulties in finding a vacant parking space in multilevel car parks and often spend more than 10 minutes searching for parking lots on weekends and public holidays. Current solutions available are probably expensive to implement in terms of hardware and software requirements for shopping malls in developing economies such as Malaysia. Furthermore, the process of payment of parking fee at an Autopay machine is not only bothersome but avoidable. Although leaving a car park may not be as tedious as finding a vacant parking lot, it is still considered a time-consuming activity to most drivers. If given the chance, most people would choose to avoid the trouble of walking to an Autopay machine due to finding incessant long queues or shortage of change at the machine. Advanced societies have adopted Touch`n'Go system which is more convenient than the conventional Autopay system. However, developing economies like Malaysia are still using the manual parking as well as Autopay machine. This study presents a low cost intelligent parking system for developing countries shopping malls to mitigate the above challenges. The system provides an added safety and security measures to prevent crimes such as thefts, kidnapping, vandalism and accidents. The system proposed takes advantage of the fact that smartphones have become pervasive.
