In the name of Allah, the owner of beneficent, the merciful and charitable.

Alhamdulillah, all praise to Allah SWT who has given his grace and blessing to the researcher so that the researcher could finish her skripsi entitle “an analysis of difficulties in understanding the types of conditional sentences among the 5th semester students of the english department of umrah” as a requisite for completing the Bachelor Degree (S1) English education in Faculty of Teacher Training and Education at Universitas Maritim Raja Ali Haji Tanjungpinang.

Shalawat and salam are also expressed to the super blessed man, Rasulullah Muhammad SAW, the beloved of Allah, the greatest motivator who always teach us kindness and patience everyday so that the researcher could control all of the emotion well. May Allah always give us His blessing.

In writing this research, there are many obstacles and also struggles that beat the researcher, but in the end it could be passed by the guidance and support from various parties in morally or spiritually. Therefore, the researcher would like to express best appreciation and special thanks to:

1. Prof. Dr. Agung Dhamar Syakti, S.Pi, DEA as the Rector of Universitas Maritim Raja Ali Haji.

2. Assist. Prof. Satria Agust, S.S., M.Pd as the Dean of Teacher Training and Education Faculty of Universitas Maritim Raja Ali Haji.

3. Assist. Prof. Muhammad Candra, M.Ed as the researcher‟s advisor and lecturer who guides the researcher in doing this skripsi patiently and also

5. All of the lecturers of English Education Department who has taught and provided the knowledge to the researcher.

6. The researcher‟s beloved parents, Abdul Gani (Father) and Almh.

Jemitun (Mother) and my lovely sister Syaindah Junita also my best cousin Desmira who never stop pray, always support, and always give their best advice for the researcher‟s success.
