1. Objective
Students are expected to have knowledge and understanding of: Contemporary Islamic economic and financial concepts and principles; students are able to raise a theme about various economic phenomena and Islamic finance critically, then find a solution and write it in a scientific format. With this academic paper, students will be assigned to deliver their papers in class seminars.
2. Learning Approaches
Students conduct class seminars individually or in groups to present and discuss their academic papers. At the end of each presentation, each student made a response to the material being disseminated.
3. Learning Outcomes
At the end of the course, students should be able to:
- write international standard academic papers
- formulate their academic paper in the power points format - present their academic paper, and answer audience questions.
- For the audience (other students), able to raise questions critically.
- Understanding contemporary issues about Islamic economic and finance
- Demonstrate analytical and teamwork skills in analyzing current issues on Islamic economics and finance

6. Evaluation of Student Learning Outcomes
During the learning process an evaluation / competency test is carried out taking into account the weight of the assessment as follows:
- Competency Test 1 (Academic Paper, Ppt.) 45%
- Competency Test 2 (Presentation, Q and A) 45%
- Class attendance/participation 10%
