Subject Description : This subject discussing the importance of veterinarian ethic, not only amongst the vetrinarians but also in the workplace in associated with all applicable laws and regulations, including deliver history of veterinarian profession in Indonesia and abroad. This subject also discusses animal welfare in pet animals, livestock and laboratory animals.

13. Subject Learning Outcome
: Students are able to understand Veterinarian Asseveration, apply profession ethic and medical veterinary as well as to understand about the protection and welfare of animal.
14. Sub Learning Outcome :
After following the discussion topic of the subject, students are able to understand and implement veterinarian ethic in carrying out his profession as well as can understand the actual issues concerned to the world namely Animal Welfare.

15. Subject Benefit
After students know the history of the Veterinary Profession in Indonesia and in the world and understand the laws and regulations that apply in Indonesia, after graduating as a veterinarian, he can apply Veterinary Ethics when carrying out his profession. Furthermore, students can understand the actual issues concerned to the world, namely Animal Welfare.
16. Lecture Strategy
Before attending lecture students are expected to read first handouts / journals related to Veterinary and Animal Welfare Ethics courses. The lecturer gives outlines of the subject matter, give examples of correct and incorrect from Veterinary Ethics and Animal Welfare application.
Lecturer gives case examples relating to Veterinary Ethics and Animal Welfare which can be applied to cases of professional abuse in the field. Students are expected to ask questions for some cases which are less clear and also answer the lecturers' questions.
Students are given assignments and given midterm and final examinations.

18. Assignments
Assignment is assigned in Meeting 14:
- Students compose a paper in relation with Veterinary Ethics & Animal Welfare - Students present and discuss material in the paper
- Students arrange narrative papers based on the final results of the discussion - Paper criteria: based on literature studies (all citations, images and tables must be
relevant), must be in accordance with the Bibliography, and references should be attached to prevent plagiarism).
- Format of the paper: Title, background of problem, statement of problem, enlargement of problem statement, problem of not overcoming the problem,
statement of solution to the problem (Concept Framework narrative), Bibliography, and Reference Appendix.
- Typology of papers: Narrative (not pointers), consists of 20-30 pages, paper size: A4, font: Times New Roman 12, double spacing.
- Reference: text book (maximum 25%), printed / electronic journal (minimum 75%), not allowed to use references originating from teaching materials, technical manuals, or information originating from non-electronic journal websites. References using the system of: name and year.
- Papers and references are sent to email: [email protected] or
[email protected], at least two working days before the deadline for lectures as stated in the Semester Learning Plan.
19. Evaluation Criteria
Each exam raw score is from 0 to 100. Final score is presented in 7 grade : A, AB, B, BC, C, D and E.
The final value of a course is determined from the combined results of the evaluation of all test scores held by the lecturer concerned.
Examples of exam weight value beetween structured assignments ; soft skills; Midterm Exam and Final Exam is 2: 1: 2: 3.

- Students are allowed to attend Final Examnination if 75% are present in the lecture (at least 9 times present, for new students) and 50% attending for repeated students - In case of not attending quizes, mid term and final exam, because of sick, student
must submit doctor’s letter within one week afterward and take a follow up exam - Submitting assignment is one week after assignment dictate
