Tommy Kiselica, FFA member from Cazenovia, N.Y., had to explain to visitors that New York is much more than just the city known as "The Big Apple". He told them, "New York is more country than city," and he had the agricultural facts to back up his assertion. His sisters Aimee and Alisha Nelson, from the same department, manned the booth with Palacio early Tuesday morning.

The Difference”
Something even more powerful is when we take those new-found talents and passions and make a difference for others. Tim is an individual who has seen his difference, but more than that, he has chosen to be a difference for other people through his service. And because we are incredibly different from each other, there are so many ways we can be a difference to other people.
We can be the difference to our parents by doing your chores, to our friends by listening, to our students by paying attention to what each one needs.
Erica Der
Under a tree in the field there were 20 or 30 people in the shade with food for those who were working. A few days later I was woken up by the screeching of four rakes, and in the afternoon seven tractor engines with balers started up. Even though they each had their own busy schedule, they all found some time and task to do to help us; and there was something a little different for everyone.
It was from them that I learned that we all have something to give and that we must look deep within ourselves to see it.

A cart of fuel would arrive to keep the lawn mowers running; many people were laughing and talking.
Happy Thanksgiving”
Why the hell didn't I take the time to think about all the things I had to be thankful for. Be thankful for income tax, It means you earned money Be thankful for bee stings,. That means you have water Be thankful for sunburn That means you've gotten warmer Be thankful for brake lights That means you can drive.
It is a reminder of all the things, both big and small, that we have to be grateful for.

What if They Knew?”
When we stop hiding, don't ask "What if they knew?" and start showing people who we really are, it's amazing how much it will do for ourselves. But then I'd remember it, and I'd think, "What if they knew?" What if they knew that after 26 years of being in business, after 26 years of pouring our blood, sweat and tears into this place, we had to go out of business. Throughout the year, as I traveled, people always asked me, “What is the hardest thing about being a citizen of-.
The writer George Eliot said: "What do we live for if not to make life less difficult for each other?".

With an Open World”
You see, I ended up with none other than Stan "The Man" Gordon in my group. These narrow-minded views of the world can lead us to believe that we do not have the choices or options necessary to be successful in life. Of course, it's easy to believe we know it all when our view of the world is so small.
But when we strive to see the world through other people's eyes and realize that we are always learning from everyone around us, our view of the world suddenly changes.
Stuart Joy
Mallory was right about a twelve-year-old seventh grader who thought he knew everything. Let's do our best to recognize different perspectives in our lives and learn from everyone around us. Let's make sure we never discount an opportunity or opportunity to learn something new.
Ladies and gentlemen, let's open our arms and embrace the opportunities that lie before us.

The Way Up Is Down”
At that point she politely asked if she could interrupt her for a minute and asked Papa Trueman how much he wanted the check for. You must know that Papa Trueman was a farmer, and he made do with what he had, and seldom had much left over. Papa Trueman then turned, looked down at his lap again, and said, "I think those kids need it more than we do."
Papa Doyle told me that he would never forget it and he also always made a point to say, "It was an honest gift and it was how Trueman operated so often."
Travis Jett
Daddy wasn't thinking about himself, he was thinking about his family, the customer, the company. The next time our parents start lecturing or scolding instead of getting cocky and getting all worked up, we instead go down and listen, go down and try to understand. I have heard it said that "the greatest among us must be the least and the servant of all." Leaving a lasting impression requires us to dismount.
Get off the pedestals, get off the high horses, and come down to the level from where we can truly serve others.
National FFA President
It was only his first day as a greeter and he was happy to already see so many people he hadn't seen in a long time, including me. If we want to make a difference in this world, we often have to get over ourselves. The next time a friend really messes up and gets hurt instead of blaming and cursing, we forgive them instead.
The next time a younger chapter member starts annoyingly following our group around, instead of worrying about how they'll make us look and telling them to get lost, we instead bring them into the group and show them the ropes , grow them as a leader.

It was my ninth year, and I was the quarterback of the freshman football team. It is an honor to be part of the voice that speaks for the future of our organization.”. Tyler Treptow, Texas National Delegate, said he enjoys participating in guiding the future of the National FFA organization.
