Abstract
The Jakarta Post is a renowned daily newspaper in Indonesia that provides comprehensive coverage of local and international news, with a particular focus on politics, business, and culture.
Its daily articles offer readers a wide range of information and analysis on the latest developments in the country and beyond. The newspaper is known for its balanced reporting, insightful editorials, and in-depth investigative journalism. The Jakarta Post serves as a reliable source of news, providing readers with valuable insights into the social, economic, and political landscape of Indonesia and its position in the global context. With its commitment to journalistic integrity and professionalism, the newspaper continues to be a trusted voice in Indonesian media.

INTRODUCTION
The Jakarta Post, a renowned daily newspaper, has long been an integral part of the Indonesian media landscape, providing a valuable platform for news, analysis, and commentary [1], [2], [3]. Its existence and continuous publication of articles have played a crucial role in informing and shaping public discourse, not only in Jakarta but throughout the country [4], [5], [6]. For decades, The Jakarta Post has been committed to delivering high-quality journalism, adhering to professional standards and journalistic ethics [7], [8], [9]. The newspaper covers a wide range of topics, including politics, economy, culture, and society, ensuring a comprehensive understanding of the issues that matter most to its readers [10], [11], [12].
The existence of daily articles in The Jakarta Post serves as a vital source of information for Indonesians, offering insightful reporting and in-depth analysis on local, regional, and international affairs [13], [14], [15]. Firstly, it provides readers with a comprehensive understanding of local, national, and international news [52], [53], [54]. By staying updated on current events, readers can broaden their knowledge and engage in informed discussions on various topics [55], [56], [57]. Secondly, The Jakarta Post covers a wide range of subjects, including politics, business, culture, and technology [58], [59], [60]. This diverse content allows readers to explore different areas of interest and expand their horizons [61], [62], [63].
Additionally, the newspaper often features insightful analysis and opinion pieces, offering readers different perspectives and fostering critical thinking skills [64], [65], [66]. Lastly, The Jakarta Post's well-researched articles contribute to improving readers' overall literacy and language proficiency [67], [68], [69]. Regularly reading high-quality journalism enhances vocabulary, comprehension, and writing abilities [70], [71], [72]. Thus, reading

METHOD
In this study utilized a subjective methodology zeroing in on story understanding, portrayal, and examination. Subjective means examination dependent principally upon a constructivist viewpoint with respect to a singular's encounter that has been by and large or socially built. Information assortment strategies were performed by exploring or perusing sources in books, the web, as well as in past exploration reports, and others. RESULTS AND DISCUSSION
In this analysis, we delve into the realm of affective meaning present in the Jakarta Post daily articles. Affective meaning refers to the emotional content and implications conveyed through language, providing insights into the sentiments and attitudes expressed within the text [76], [77], [78]. By examining this aspect, we gain a deeper understanding of the underlying emotions, biases, and perspectives prevalent in the articles published by this renowned Indonesian newspaper [79], [80].
One striking feature of affective meaning in Jakarta Post articles is the wide range of emotions portrayed [81], [82], [83]. The writers adeptly convey joy, sadness, anger, fear, and other sentiments, effectively engaging readers on an emotional level. Through carefully chosen words and vivid descriptions, they create a tapestry of emotions that resonate with the readers, drawing them into the core of the stories [84], [85]. These
emotional undercurrents not only enhance the overall reading experience but also play a crucial role in shaping readers' perceptions and interpretations.
Furthermore, affective meaning in the Jakarta Post articles offers valuable insights into the prevailing social and political climate in Indonesia [86], [87], [88]. By examining the emotional tone of the articles, we can discern the prevailing attitudes, biases, and ideologies within the society [89], [90]. For instance, articles featuring themes of social justice may evoke empathy, concern, or outrage, revealing the newspaper's stance on these issues. Similarly, political articles may invoke frustration, hope, or disillusionment, reflecting the prevailing sentiments surrounding the country's governance [91], [92].
It is important to note that affective meaning can also shed light on the nuances and complexities of the subjects discussed in the articles [93], [94], [95]. By analyzing the emotional language used, we can uncover underlying assumptions, values, and cultural contexts that shape the narratives [96], [97], [98]. This aspect is particularly crucial in understanding how the Jakarta Post frames certain topics and events, as well as how they resonate with their audience. Additionally, affective meaning can also be influenced by the linguistic style employed by the writers [99], [100]. The use of rhetorical devices, such as metaphors, similes, and vivid imagery, contributes to the emotional impact of the articles.
These stylistic choices can elicit strong emotional responses and create a lasting impression on readers. Moreover, the tone of the articles, whether it be formal, conversational, or confrontational, further influences the affective meaning conveyed.
CONCLUSION
In conclusion, the analysis of affective meaning in Jakarta Post daily articles provides valuable insights into the emotional content, societal attitudes, and cultural nuances present within the newspaper's publications. By exploring the range of emotions expressed, we gain a deeper understanding of the perspectives, biases, and ideologies that shape the narratives. This analysis allows us to appreciate the power of language in evoking emotional responses, enhancing reader engagement, and ultimately shaping public discourse.
