In the context of the Bugis diaspora, cultural rights like other rights are very important. At the time this research was conducted, only one member of the Bugis diaspora had succeeded in becoming a politician in the local parliament.

Introduction

The connection of "in and out" suggests an expanded view of the notion of diaspora to include the movement between Indonesian provinces and abroad of Indonesian and visiting artists who are inspired by cultural forms and significant places. Intercultural Studies (ICIIS) at UNHI and invited to lead the session on Women at the Crossroads, this presentation reflects the theme "Women Dancing Diaspora Dialogues in and from Indonesia".

An Expanded View of Diaspora My thoughts on diasporic communities

Collaborative diaspora networks are therefore seen as one of the most important factors in stimulating the 'brain circulation'. Walking on the path of return to my abode at the residence of the now deceased former village chief, I turned east at the main village crossroads leading to Pura Samuan Tiga; an eleventh-century site of interfaith creative reconciliation between nine faith groups.

I remembered that an integral part of the World Cultural Forum 2016 was the International Youth Forum (IYF); the meeting of 150 young people from 39 countries was solemnly opened at the wantilan next to Pura Samuan Tiga. Peneliti Panji Bicara bersama Semar Suwito (https://youtu.be/_zsMfFIUV78), produced by TVPanji in February 2020, features German independent cultural archaeologist Lydia Kieven, who talks about her focus on ancient Javanese art, tradition and culture and “long-term involvement in the revitalization process of the Panji tradition in Java, especially in East Java, which began in the late 1990s” (see Kieven, 2020).

Conclusion

Women traffickers and their movements in the border areas between North Kalimantan and East Malaysia. Indeed, women have played an important role in business among the Bugis people in the border areas.

Introduction

Balinese Hindu women have begun to involve themselves and set policies in various activities in the Banjar, in the village and in other traditional groups, especially in receiving knowledge, most of which is related to work for economic development and the welfare of their families.

Discussion

Educational Opportunities for Women in Patriarchal Culture

This phenomenon can be seen from the fact that formal education institutions in Bali, from basic education to higher education, not only accommodate men but also women. Likewise, lecturers at State Universities (PTN) and Private Universities (PTS), which are arenas for gathering high-level intellectuals, involve not only men but also many women.

The view of Hinduism towards women

Firstly, women's political interest in the public space referred to as the general election organizers. However, no one has investigated the representation of Balinese women in the General Electoral Commission and the Electoral Inspectorate. However, no one has investigated how the involved Balinese women as election commissioners are in the political field.

Provincial and Regency/City General Election Commission

In addition, when the final decision is made by the General Election Commission of the Republic of Indonesia, the confirmation spirit is no longer taken into account. Instead, the interest of each commissioner in the General Election Commission of the Republic of Indonesia is taken into account. We have also worked with the government officials, the staff members of the Regional General Election Commission.

The Election Supervisory Agency in the Provincial and Regency/City Levels

From the time the election supervision committee at the regency/city level was established until it was changed to the election supervision agency, women's representation has never reached 30%, it has varied from 3% to 22%. The low representation of Balinese women in the election supervision is due to their low participation in the nomination and selection of the election commission members and the strong patrilineal culture where it is believed that the political field is not theirs. Therefore, I never stop learning and always work effectively both as housewives with our daily activities and as members of the Election Commission.

The Women’s Challenges as the General Election Organizers

Regulation

The table below shows the development in the rules that are referred to when recruiting women as organizers of general elections. Pay attention to the 30% representation of women in the Central General Election Commission, the Provincial General Election Commission, the Regency/City General Election, PPK;. Note the 30% women representation in the Central, Provincial, Regency/City Election Commission, PPK (District General Election Committee), PPS (General Election Committee) and KPPS (A group of people responsible for conducting General Elections).

Table 4. The Regulations Regulating the Affirmation Spirit of the General Election Organizers

The Women’s Low Participation The patrilineal culture is responsible

One such regulation regulating the confirmation spirit of the General Election Commission has inspired all the political parties to send women candidates for registration in the General Election Commission. However, the confirmation policy applicable in the political parties is not used when recruiting the members of the overall election commission and the overall election supervision both at central and regional level. I strongly argued that based on the general election law, anyone, including widows, is allowed to become a general.

  • Conclusion

Although the number of Balinese women involved in the General Election Commission is still low, they can demonstrate that their performance and ability to do the general election is the same as that of men. The University Library Handbook states that the University Library is a supportive part of higher education that, along with other supporting elements, contributes to the achievement of the University's vision and mission. It can be described here that the authorities in universities play a major role in determining the leadership of the university library.

CONTRA-HEGEMONY OF BALI WOMEN TOURISM WORKERS IN FIGHTING FOR THE RIGHTS OF THEIR PEOPLE

BACKGROUND

Balinese Hindu women continue to strive for gender justice, both in the domestic and public spheres. In general, Balinese women who work in the tourism industry receive hegemonic treatment from men. This article discusses the hegemonic treatment received by Balinese female tourist workers and their counter-hegemony in the fight for the rights of their people.

METHOD

In general, Balinese women are known as persistent individuals, responsible for their families and able to maintain the cultural traditions of their nation. This parallel partnership in the public sphere is manifested in professional development in various fields of work and the role of women in community life (Sunasri, 2004). Some Balinese Hindu women have been involved as politicians, working as government officials, working in the tourism sector, educators and so on.

DISCUSSION

  • Treat hegemony among women tourism workers in Badung Regency
  • Counter hegemony of women tourism workers in Badung Regency

The number of available employees in the tourism sector is not in balance with the number of available jobs. This right culminates in a Collective Labor Agreement (PKB). 6) The right to strike, in accordance with Law No. The functions of the parties, namely the workers, management and government, are intertwined in the principle of partnership, the implications of which are: (1) the relationship between workers and the company should be adjusted to the principles of mutual cooperation, mutual aid and kinship; (2) problems must be resolved through a process of consensus or unanimous agreement between the company and the employee (organization).

Momentum for women to achieve gender equality in the digital era

Understanding Gender Equality

Gender equality refers to the differences in the roles, functions and responsibilities of men and women based on agreements or roles formed by the community (Garcia-Moreno & Amin, 2019). For example, being a TKW or shopping at the market, or selling vegetables around the village, or being an ASN. Women as partners in the family must improve their skills in information and communication.

Gender Gap Facts

Al-ahzab: 33, placed in the home as the best place for women's activities, because they are in charge of the family (Alain Najib: 2019). In the early days of CPNS recruitment, male and female ASN were equal in number. Academic achievement is a recognition of intellectual ability and intelligence in the academic field, which is based purely on aptitude considerations.

Opportunities to implement gender roles in the digital industry era

In the digital age, domestic and public barriers no longer exist, as people can regulate themselves by attaching formal structures (Stone, 2017). There will be disruptions (changes) in the emergence of people's lives from conventional to digital, including digital transactions and markets (Renal Kasali; . 2016). In the current flow of economic change, many women are the head of the household, the backbone and breadwinner of the family.

Challenges of the role of women in the digital industry era

Women are more flexible in managing time, which is no longer limited by distance and time for self-actualization. Involvement of women in entrepreneurship, and the use of the latest technology, adapted to the needs of their environment. The educational aspects available in the gadget features can be accessed to develop children's educational patterns at home.

Gender Equality in roles and responsibilities

Men no longer have the moral burden of replacing women's roles in the home. They are the owners of the future, become subjects that build civilization, but also objects that become targets of civilization. The achievements of the country's children at the national and international level are a testament to the successful role of parenting in the household.

Gender Mainstreaming in Political Approach

The goal is to increase the capacity for mastering technology for women, and to be able to work in the programming field (Journell, 2012). As educators, women must be able to do a lot so that children can compete in the global world while still having ethics, morals and social norms from their own cultural roots (Ogato, 2013).

Ghigi, “The Social Roots of the Gender Gap in Political Participation: The Role of Situational and Cultural Constraints in Italy,” Social Politics: International Studies in Gender, State & Society, 24(3), pp. This article is the result of research into the relationship between the Bugis diaspora and the ethnic Tidung (Indigenous people) in the socio-cultural context of the Indonesia-Malaysia border community on Sebatik Island. Political relations are not very visible in the Bugis' interaction with the Tidung people, as their orientation (Tidung) does not align with the desire to be involved in political affairs (government).

POLITICAL ROLE OF WOMEN DPRD MEMBERS TO FIGHT WOMEN'S INTERESTS

In general, the function of the legislature revolves around the function of legislation/legislation, budgeting/. Another form of supervision is the assessment of the implementation of regional regulations by the board. In general, the role of the DPRD is the extent to which the output produced meets the objective (a predetermined plan), so optimizing the role of the DPRD in the implementation of regional autonomy is of great importance.
