Sincerely, we are members of the second class gymnastics staff with a great sense of respect. In addition to his regular duties, he was also responsible for the security program until September 1931. His affable personality, his thorough knowledge of his subject, and his great belief in the value of physical education made him unusual. an aspiring teacher, and his sudden death saddened his many admirers among the professors and students of the normal school.

Haase was a member of the class of 1927, and returned to complete his work for a degree. To the little girl left in a beautiful world, may her father's strength be given to her as the years pass, on pages of the story we know as Life. It is clearly impossible to repeat in this space any of the history of the Normal College or the American 'l'urnerbund.

The students of the ordinary college have always realized the importance of a firm adherence to the principles of 'l'urnerbund'. We of the senior class have now advanced to that station in our lives where a very appropriate term can be used, the crossroads.

CLASS OFFICERS

Now that the end of the year is near, the First Years are patting themselves on the back for their various achievements. Alfred Eberhardt, (Though pronounced Ebah-haht) our treasurer learned that if one wants to raise money, one must either have a large amount of influence or a club. At the "Home-Coming" exhibition, the "Freshies" displayed their rhythmic abilities, performing activities suitable for lower grades.

On vacation, Lorene Miller bought a ticket to Highland, Illinois, after the train started, she found out that it did not stop at Highland. After the weiners were consumed to the best of our ability, we developed our vo al talents.

NORMAL 41 CONCORDIA 27 After playing three successive out-of-town games, Normal returned to the

Gordon opened the scoring with a tricky shot from under the basket to give the home team the lead. Midway through the second half, Concordia mounted a long-range attack that rattled the boys until Gordon and Schaefer halted proceedings. Alto trailing by an uncomfortable margin at the half, the boys in red and white started to click in the second half.

The N ormalites' inability to sing baskets led to them clowning around to eat in the enemy's court in a thrilling game. Normal looked like the best team on the floor, but the ball just wouldn't sink for them. The team played great football and deserved the win; every man turned in an excellent performance.

In the second, a sensational shot by iegal, just when Normal trailed 21-17, rejuvenated the Phy-Eds. The game went into an extra session after another two-pointer by Gordon, and Schaefer made the winning point. The team took to the floor with one idea in mind - to finish the season with a .500 hitting percentage.

With the help of psychology, smart play and accurate throwing, the boys were able to put a fitting lid on the game.

On the Diamond, 1931

The normal ball players took the field at h.iverside Park with fire in their e e, revenge in their hearts and dynamite in their bats. The win was all the more remarkable as Weiss and Morgan worked on the mound for N.

Meyers and "Abie" are put in an electric wheelchair, which excuses them from school for 2 days. Saturday night was the highlight of our homecoming - a big dance was given in Kellersall - one of our "Alums" Dick Barrick sang us a song or two. The Varsity winning streak is snapped by Hanover-who cares-the boys had a nice social time Oden says the tea was served in pink cups.

Mineo says he'll probably beat ole Nick-The Essex, will be fit and ready-ask him. The dean finally found a way to keep notorious ragtime piano players out of the Frosh lecture room - he made a gymnasium out of it. The slippery floor was too much for the future politicians of Indiana from the Law School.

Mineo, Koenig and Prybilski were the burning sensations of the evening, while Len Pielmeir and 'Nies were the roller-skating comedians. Some of the girls had their pictures taken by a representative of the local newspaper - of course they had to powder their noses, backs and legs - but all to no avail, because when the picture came out in the Sunday edition - only N ormalites could recognize them. Rinsch sympathized and didn't take the test - he couldn't because the Sophs were using chairs for beds.

More head spins and such from the gym team - this time in Louisville - the boys put on a good show though. Rush time: how the Caps have their official rush at Meridian Country Club on Friday night - and the following night the Heelers hold theirs at the Propylaeum.

Contributions in the vocal line were made by Plag, Werder, Klier, Paulsen, Gronis, Apostol and Sturni. Half the camp was arrested for dancing in Jahn Hall at a prohibited hour. Boats and canoes were brought out for the first time and manned by the fair race,—what a picture. farthana took Irene and Agnes for a ride.

All was quiet at night except for the buzzing of mosquitoes and the snooping of the student council. The radio - the old spare - helped us. rybilski was appointed radio operator.. and Mrs. Hess from Ath naeum were guests in the camp. What a time for me with details. It was difficult for the patient to review the three lessons he had on the trumpet about 10 years ago.

DeNies took first among the men and the Apostle-Pogue combination first among the girls. 34;Cholly'' had instructed the men in polyrhythms, which were to be demonstrated during the national convention. Some of the regular things around camp- Norm "jumping" out of bed, Murph looking over his bed for his "creeps", Muto answering his fan mail, Fred Martin practicing "Girl of My Dreams", Klier impersonating Doerr, Klafs hunting stone to use on a specific bullfrog.

Kli r and hirley, the winners, made it to town and back. speeding in record time as a "harmless" police dog barked in the distance. The men had an evening party in Ling Hall and the girls had a "Kid" party in Jahn Hall. Bif wanted to know how to use the hair wear on a bald gentleman. 34;Stubby" intended to enter the three-legged race - he was already in training. student council met with Rudy here to take charge.

Dean's Test - All Quiet on the Western Front.-"Little Dean, Len," won 30 cents on the slot machine and bought paddle pops for Mineo, Schreiber and Mrs. Thursday came as Thursday used to, but this Thursday was different because today we took a "short" test of the dean. A Venetian evening planned, but too much water from above, so a dance in Jahn Hall was substituted. 91 degrees in the shade - and that shade was pleasantly occupied by some gentlemen in their spare time who should have been checking goals in athletics.
