Oshima and Hogue (1998:44) state that transitional signals such as first, second, next, finally, therefore, and however or sentences as a conclusion, on the other hand and as a result. Transition signal means conjunction or sentences that use in writing to make the sentence and paragraph more coherent and easier. Think of transition signals as traffic signs that tell the reader to go forward, turn, slow down and stop.

Then” or “After a while” or “In the beginning” which help introduce each new action in the sequence. Oshima and Hogue (1998:44) argue that transition signals can be divided into the three groups: sentence connectors (including transitional sentences and conjunctive adverbs), sentence connectors (including coordinating conjunction and subordinate conjunction), and a mixed group called “others.” ”. They may appear in the middle (normally following the subject) or at the end of sentences.

For example, the Batlik Sea in Northern Europe is only a quarter as long as the Red Sea in the Middle East. Or at the end of the sentence and separated by a comma. a) Additionally, the runoff created by melting snow adds a significant amount of fresh water to dilute the salty seawater. Linking adverbs are also often used with a semicolon and comma to join two independent clauses to form a compound sentence. a).

In warm climates, water evaporates quickly, so the concentration of salt is higher. b) The company's sales increased last year, but the profit did not decrease. Five coordinating conjunctions (plus two additional ones, for and nor) are used with a comma to join two independent clauses into a compound sentence. a) Father washes the car, cleans it. These words (and many others, including because, when, and so) introduce a dependent clause that is linked to an independent clause to form a complex sentence.

If the dependent clause comes before the independent clause, come after it. a) Although the company's sales increased last year, its non-profit decreased. The transitive signal in this group includes adjectives such as additional, prepositions such as despite, and nouns such as example.
