Snow White

Once upon a time, there lived a little girl named Snow white. She lived with her aunt and uncle because her parents were dead.

One day, she heard her uncle and aunt talking about leaving Snow White in the castle because they both wanted to go to the town and they didn’t have enough money to take Snow white.

Snow white did not want her uncle and aunt to do this, so she decided it would be best if she ran away into the forest. She was very tired and hungry. Then she saw a little cottage. She knocked on the door but no one answered, so she went inside and fell asleep.

Meanwhile, the seven dwarfs were coming home from work. They went inside. There they found Snow white sleeping. Then Snow white woke up. She saw the dwarfs. The dwarfs said , “what’s your name?” Snow white answered, “My name is Snow white”.

One of the dwarfs said, ”if you wish, you may live here with us”. Snow white said, ”oh, could I? thank you”. Then Snow white and the seven dwarfs lived happily ever after.

My Name is Deswara Varen Ramadhani. My nickname is Varen. I was born in Temanggung, 2nd December 2002. So, now I'm officially 19 years old. I live in Temanggung, but now i stay at Kinanti street, near Gadjah Mada University

I graduated from Senior High School 1 Temanggung and now I continue my study in Yogyakarta State University. I have twins. My hobbies are cooking and editing, because all of those can relieve boredom. My favorite movies are Harry Potter, Vincenzo, and many more Korean movies. I think I'm tall enough, because my height is 162 cm. I have long and black hair, brown eyes, round face, and flat nose. My skin is brown, not white.

The Covid19 pandemic has made many changes to the surrounding environment. Since the implementation of lockdown and social distancing. Many people are doing their activities at home. They do all their activities at home, such as working, studying or trading and I am one of them.

About last June, I only did my activities at home, from waking up to going to sleep again. I also do online learning at home. Sometimes I was stressed and dizzy with the many assignments given to me.

At the time of the pandemic, I was struggling to get my dream campus, but things I didn't want came. I was exposed to covid 19 and was ordered to self-quarantine. Yet I am grateful I am able to take the test well, even though I did not pass the college of my dreams. I continued my efforts by enrolling at UNY, and then came to uny now as a student.

English for Elementary School Students

To help the elementary school students learn in a fun and meaningful way, the teacher can use videos that contain song and dance. Teachers can make learning interesting through activities like stories created based on student’s likes and interests, games or other kinds of motivating activities. So, the students will memorize more quickly and they are interested in learning English. Needs analysis was very important because knowing students preferences and interests helped to implement a pedagogical proposal that students found meaningful and interesting. Students got involved in the process. Learning was interesting and enjoyable for them because

the teachers took into account their likes and interests, and also because they connected the new learning with their real lives.

English for instruction

The teacher can open the lesson with greetings, asking about the news, praying together, and then presence of the students. Students listen to the teacher's explanation about the objectives and learning activities to be carried out. Students are invited to raise their spirits through the song, for example “If You’re Happy, and You Know it”. Then, students were asked about the material, maybe about the song or the stories. The teacher can show interesting powerpoint or videos that contain the material from YouTube. Students are divided into groups for discussion, asked to discuss, and present it. After the presentation, students are asked to sing the song or retell stories together. To train self confidence, students are asked to voluntarily sing the song or retell stories in front of their friends.

Students who dare to sing the song or retell the stories get a gift from the teacher. Teacher and the student give applause. Then, the teacher gives an evaluation and concludes the material. The lesson ended with greeting and prayer. In addition to teaching the importance of correct pronunciation the teacher must also provide examples of the use of the sentence in daily activities as well as examples of actions from the sentence so that the students understands.
