It follows from the above statement that word walls are an effective and interesting way to learn vocabulary.

Wallen, How to Design and Evaluate Research in Education: Seventh Edition, (New York: McGraw-Hill Higher Education, 2009), pp. This medium can be used to ask students how to master vocabulary in the right context and enrich their vocabulary .

In measuring this variable, the researcher used observation sheets to observe the use of Word Walls Media. In measuring this variable, the researcher used tests as a tool to measure students' vocabulary mastery.

Research Procedure

The researcher explained what, why, when, where, who and how the action takes place. After planning the actions, the researcher implemented the actions in the teaching and learning process. In this step, the researcher observed the teaching learning process using the observation sheet.

With reflection, the researcher knew the strength and weakness from the action the researcher had taken. In this step, the researcher observed the teaching learning process using the observation sheet to collect the data in action plan II.

Data Collection Technique

The researcher reviewed and considered the students' activities, regardless of whether they were positive or negative, the second cycle is enough or the next step is needed. During the observation, the researcher made some notes and a checklist to recheck the data. This means to know about the location sketch of SMP N 01 Punggur, the building of SMP N 01 Punggur and the process of learning activities of students in the classroom.

The researcher used documentation to obtain data on the history of the school, teachers, officials and students of SMP N 01 Punggur. Using field notes to get the data objective, which cannot be recoded through observation forms, such as students' activities during treatment, their response, or other guidance that can be used in analysis and reflection.

Research Setting

This research was conducted at SMPN 1 Punggur which was located on Pendidikan Punggur road, no. The total of teachers and official employers of SMPN 01 Punggur was 61 which can be identified in the table below. Civic Education Teacher Karsono PNS 34 Tuti Iriani, S.Pd Indonesian Teacher PNS 35 Iswantoro, S.Pd Deputy Public Principle.

Description of The Research

So this was the reason why the researcher used word wall media to increase the students' vocabulary mastery. It was open by praying, greeting, checking the attendance list and introducing the researcher as a teacher to the students. Based on the result of the pre-test score, the researcher identified and found the problems after taking the students' pre-test score.

The post test was done to know how the students mastered the vocabulary after the treatment. It means that in cycle 1 the students. the achievement could be increased enough, but it was still not successful. In the teaching process, four are used and mentioned to recognize the students' activity.

However, most of the students' scores had increased even though the state of learning was uncontrolled enough. From the result of pre-test and post-test I, we knew that there was an increase in the student's result score. The researcher asked the students to name vocabulary about the topic and determined what the vocabulary would be taught.

In the learning process, four indicators were also used to recognize the students' activities as in the learning process before. Based on the result of the observation sheet in cycle II, the researcher showed that the learning process in cycle II was successful. Based on the above result, it can be concluded that Word Walls Media can increase students' vocabulary mastery, because there was an increase from the mean score in post-test I 64.03 to 77.25 in post-test II.

Table 7 The Pre Test Score

Furthermore, the researcher gave the post-test in the next meeting and the post-test was named post-test I. Then, analyzing the result of post-test I, the researcher concluded that there were 12 students (38.70%) who had completed the post-test. I. From the result of the students' score in the pre-test and post-test I, there was an increase from the score of the students' scores.

Although there was an increase in student achievement, cycle I was still not successful because only 12 students (38.70%) completed it in the post-test I. After analyzing the results of the students in the post-test of cycle I, the researcher had to conduct the next cycle because only 12 students (38.70%) completed the test and got the score ≤ 70. Furthermore, the researcher analyzed the post-test II score and concluded that there were 27 students (87.09%) who completed the test because they got the score. ≥ 70.

From the results of the students' score of post-test II, it could be concluded that there were increasing scores. Students' score in Pre-test, Post-test cycle I and Post-test cycle II English learning process was successful in cycle I, but the students' average score was low. Students' score of Pretest, Posttest Cycle I and Posttest Cycle II No name Pretest Posttest I.

Based on the result of pre-test, post-test I and post-test II, it was known that there was a positive significant increase of the students'. This is supported by the increase in the score of the students from pre-test to post-test I and from post-test I to post-test II. From graph 3 we could see that there was an increase on the average score and total of the students who completed the test from pre-test, post-test I to post-test II.

DISCUSSION

Based on the explanation of cycle I and cycle II, it can be concluded that the use of Word Walls Media can increase the students' vocabulary mastery. From the explanation, the researcher came to the conclusion that the research was successful and it can be stopped in cycle II because the success indicator (80% of students have score ≥ 70) has been reached. So, the use of media is necessary for a teacher to be able to convey the material to the students, especially in teaching vocabulary.

This was the reason why the researcher chose Word Walls as media to increase the students' vocabulary mastery because the media is easy to implement and it was one of the interesting media that was very closed to the students'. In addition, the researcher used Word Walls Media to increase the students' vocabulary mastery. In each treatment, the researcher tried to make the students more active in the teaching and learning process.

In the last learning process, students were asked to make a conclusion based on the topic. After completing Cycle I and Cycle II, it was clear that Word Walls Media can be used to improve students' vocabulary mastery. Based on the data from I. and II. cycle, it could be concluded that the use of Word Walls Media could increase students' vocabulary mastery.

It could be observed that there was an increase in the average score and the total number of students taking the test from pretest, posttest I and posttest II. After completing Cycle I and Cycle II, it was clear that Word Walls Media could be used to increase students' vocabulary.

SUGGESTION

It is suggested to the principal to convince and facilitate the teachers to use this medium because it is effective in teaching the material to the teacher.
