The almighty god for blessing, mercy, guidance and help given to the researcher until the researcher could accomplish the skripsi entitled “The use of picture story on students’ reading comprehension at the eighth grade student of SMP NEGERI 1 KARIMUN”. Salawat and salam are upon the prophet Muhammad SAW, his family, and his followers. It is a pleasure to acknowledge the help and contributions to all of the lectures, instituations, family, and friends who have contribute in ways this research is processed until it becomes complete research which will be presented to the Faculty of Teacher Training and Education.

The researcher would like to thank my beloved father, mother, brothers and sisters, who always pray and motivate me to finish the study.
