The people of the cultural center are the most successful in society, or at least they strive to be. The rich heritage remains a strong aspect for many of the people both born and bred in the Norfolk area. It is clear that there is a need to address the subject of spiritual warfare and the armor of God because Satan's presence has attempted to hinder the work of the Holy Spirit when great things have happened in our congregation.

Before implementing the project, I selected a focus group of eight members from the congregation who agreed to participate in more intensive meetings and discussions on biblical teachings about spiritual warfare and the armor of God. The devil cannot overcome or deny the work of the Holy Spirit in our lives. One of the responsibilities we have as ministers is to equip our members with the truths of the Bible so they can live in the victory they have in Jesus.

Satan Tests Job

The Hebrew root stn means "to oppose the law." On this basis, some scholars suspect that Satan could be the accuser of the heavenly council. Readers of Scripture, however, have normally based their idea of Satan on the New Testament. If the translator Job translates for people who have not read the New Testament and.

That is, the plan to test Job was not hatched in a secret meeting between Yahweh and Satan. Of course he has, not only because of Job's exemplary life, but because of Satan's diligence. Satan uses the imperative voice to address God; he makes his prediction of Job's behavior in everyday fashion with a 'self-reproach' ('I'll be damned if he doesn't curse you to your face')." 35.

God Allows Satan to Further Test Job to Further Test Job

36 In response to Hartley's perspective, I will agree that Satan is ultimately under God's control, but he is also clearly in direct opposition to the plans, purposes, and will of God. Dhorme adds, “Satan claims that Job's virtue depends on a selfish calculation in verse 9. In the first test, Satan was allowed to penetrate the hedge, perhaps the first layer of "skin." Yahweh's hedge still restrains Satan's attacks, and because of this Satan challenges Yahweh to remove him.40 When God strikes bones and flesh, Job will rebel and blaspheme blasphemously.

Such is Satan's thesis.41 As verse 7 indicates, Satan withdrew from the Lord's presence and troubled Job greatly. This second affliction to Job resembles the first group of calamities in its suddenness and completeness.42. Although God rejected Satan's reasoning, he released Job to Satan's power for further testing.

Satan, The Accuser of the Saints The Accuser of the Saints

The representative character must be carefully considered, as it contains the essence of the vision. Joshua, a Jewish priest, needed three things for his priestly ministry: forgiveness, purification, and clothing in the holy garments graciously given to him by the savior angel. vision of his prophecy Zechariah deals with the themes of Israel's deliverance from captivity and oppression, the resulting expansion and expansion, and the subsequent prosperity and material blessing of the land. The fourth vision of the book reveals how Israel will be cleansed, cleansed, and restored to its priestly office and functions." 47 Moore continues his thoughts on this challenging passage,

The high priest stands as the representative of the theocratic people, and the priestly order as it then existed. 46Herbert Lockyer, All the Angels in the Bible: A Complete Exploration of the Nature and Ministry of Angels, ed. As we begin to look at the reality of Satan and spiritual warfare in some of the Gospel passages as well as the Epistles of Paul, I offer numerous insights from commentators and other biblical scholars as we examine the activities of our enemy during the time of Jesus.

Jesus

Donald Juel highlights some contextual aspects by writing: "More important than the precise location is the description of the territory: it is unclean, out of bounds. When we study Mark 5:1-20, the story of the Gerasene demon, we will confirm the biblical reality of Satan and his host The naked shouting maniac must have tested the Twelve's newly regained confidence.

The discovery of the Greek magical papyri in Egypt introduces us to the long and complex formulas, spells, incantations and passwords that ancient exorcists used when dealing with demonic opponents to gain an advantage over them. But with Jesus there is no elaborate protocol, nor does the effectiveness of an exorcism depend on the words he utters. A man remembers a man from whom a demon was cast out, but the demon returned with seven other demons and possessed them.

The Temptation of Jesus

On the contrary, he who was led by the Spirit to wage war and defeat the devil was long before that God's Son.69. God will provide, as He had with the manna."70 Geldenhuys also does a masterful job of sharing his perspectives on the conflict that Jesus encountered from the devil. Matthew does, that the devil took Jesus to a high mountain has to show Him all the kingdoms of the world.

The temptation was for Jesus to admit Satan's authority through this act of prostration (falling down and worship), an acknowledgment of authority rather than personal merit. v. During all these temptations, Jesus answered the devil with the words, "It is written," as He plainly showed the source of His answers to be. In verse 13 we read that when the devil had finished all temptation, he departed from Jesus until another convenient time.

Satan's Desire to Sift Peter like Wheat to Sift Peter like Wheat

But we must also use the sword of the Spirit: the literal word of God. Klyne Snodgrass offers his perspective on this passage by writing, "As we believe in Christ, God's Word promises that we can overcome anything Satan throws at us as long as we use the power of the Holy Spirit that Paul spoke of. The greatness of God's purpose in Christ, the glory of his high calling, and the life which is to follow from it.

This weapon that I am about to describe is given so that people can resist the wiles of the devil. Now he repeats three times the word used in verse 11 when he says that the great aim of the Christian warrior is to be able to stand. In fact, the first use of the word in this verse is in the compound verb endure, implying opposition to great opposition (cf. James 4:7 and 1 Peter 5:9, where the same word is used for the same spiritual conflict). 89.

However, the apostle's purpose in exhorting his readers to put on the armor of God is that they may prevail against the wiles and tactics of the enemy. Not only has the authority of the powers that be been broken, but their final defeat is also inevitable. The Generation of Truth is knowing, accepting and using the truths of God's Word.

As believers in Christ, we must never stop taking the sword of the Spirit. The importance of standing firm in the power of God and in the strength of His might should not be overlooked by any child of God who desires to live it. When we reflect on the power of God's spoken Word, how can we fail to realize the vital role that prayer plays in our lives as Christians.

It is very difficult to reconcile the confidence of Jesus about the nature of God's will that is supported in the Gospel.

The Persevering Prayer for Boldness Prayer for Boldness

Leaders of the spiritual warfare movement rightly recognize that Satan is the conqueror of unbelievers and the enemy of the Church. Satan is focused and determined to hinder the work of the Holy Spirit in the Church today. Such power over the demonic forces had never been seen in the history of the world.

I tried to meet the focus group members as often as their schedules allowed. One of the questions one of our members asked me a week earlier was about the single most important element in the armor of God. We must immerse our minds in the truths of Scripture as often as possible.

We can only fight victoriously when we build our lives on the word of God and when we become firmly rooted in the truth of the scriptures. Throughout this chapter, I address each of the necessary areas in reflecting on the implementation of the project in spiritual warfare and the armor of God at Talbot Park Baptist Church. In the coming years, I would like to continue to discuss the success of the project with the members of our focus group.

Through his Spirit we can stand strong in the strength of our God in the midst of the enemy's attacks. 11, Paul tells us that we need to stand firm in the Lord's strength when we fight against the devil's schemes or wiles. 1. The Belt of Truth: This is our knowledge, acceptance and use of the truths of God's Word.

In verse 11 we are told to put on the full armor of God so that we can stand firm against the devil's schemes or wiles. The peace that Jesus offers is the confidence that he is with us in the midst of trouble. According to the Bible, the mind is where most battles are fought in the life of believers.

We must immerse our minds in the truths of the Bible, knowing that Satan can do nothing to take away our salvation. All the Angels in the Bible: A Complete Study of the Nature and Ministry of Angels.
