DIRECTIVE SPEECH ACTS IN SONIC THE HEDGEHOG MOVIE SCRIPT (2020) BY JOSH MILLER

ABSTRACT
Directive speech acts is the kind of speech acts which is used by the speaker toget someone else to do something. This research analyzes Directive speech acts in Sonic the Hedgehog Movie Script by Josh Miller. The aim of this research is to find out the kinds and forms of directive speech acts in Sonic the Hedgehog Movie Script. Directive speech acts is the object of this research. Sonic the hedgehog movie script (2020) by Josh Miller is the subject of this research. Descriptive qualitative is a method of this research.
The result of this research shows that five types of directive speech acts using Searle theory. The result of this research indicates thatthere are 82 utterances of directive speech acts. The researcher classify directive speech acts and divide into five including 54 commands, 11 request, 9 suggest, 6 warning and 2 inviting. Therefore, the researcher classifies directive speech acts that found into three forms they are 52 data imperative, 10 data interrogative and 20 data declarative. The researcher concludes that command and imperative is the dominant utterance of directive speech acts.

27 INTRODUCTION
Human are social beings who live in society. In order to get good interaction, they use language to communication. Communication is a part of speaking activity.
Through the speaking activity, people can communicate with each other in order to express what they really want to say. Speaking is the most influential skill in our life. All of the field likes schools, socials, arts and others need speak up. Speaking is needed in every level of field in the study. Besides, as the form to convey the ideas many people express it in written form which we call literature.Writing is a productive skill. By the writing, people can express or transfer their feeling, messages and also sharing the experience.
Language and literary are two interrelated and inseparable things. Literary is a form of art that uses language as it is delivery medium. The language is used by writers as a medium to convey ideas or messages to the wider community. There are many language variation spoken by the speaker in expressing thoughts. One of the variations is literary genre. Sonic the hedgehog movie is one of genre or literary.
Directives are kinds of speech act that speakers use to get someone else to do something. According to Searle in (Mualimin, 2018) “Speech act is a kind of speech act in which, by saying something, the speaker intends the listener to do something”. The reason why the researcher focus on directive speech acts in movie script becausethe writer assumes there are still many directive speech act in sonic the hedgehog movie script.From those facts, the writer’s interest to analyze and to find out how far directive speech act is used.
To support this research, the writers needs some other researchers which have been made by other researchers. In this research, the researcher presents three research overview.
The first research was conducted by (Afidah, 2017) entitle, Directive Speech Acts Performed By The Main Character “Thomas” and The Character’s Responses in The

Maze Runner (2014) Movie. The second previus research was conducted by (Yuniati and annury, 2018) entitle, Directive Speech Acts Analysis in The Movie “The Massage” by Moustaphaakkad. Then, the third research was conducted by Directive Speech Acts Analysis in Kungfu Panda 3 Movie.
RESEARCH METHODS
. (Cresswell, 2014) explains “Research design are the specific procedure involved in the research process: data collection, data analysis, and report writing”. In this research, the researcheruses descriptive qualitative research to analyze Directive Speech Acts in Sonic The Hedgehog Movie Script. The subject of the research is Sonic the Hedgehog Movie Script (2020) by Josh Miller. The object of this research is Directive Speech Acts.
(Sugiyono, 2015) states that in qualitative research, the researcher is the key instrumentThe researcher also uses several supporting instruments in obtaining the data;
(1) Documentation, used to get the information from various source, it can be in the form of picture, script or text; (2) Tabulation, is a way of processing information or data by putting the data in a table.Bogdanin(Sugiyono, 2014) states that “Data analysis is the process of systematically searching and arranging the transcript, fieldnotes and other materials”.The researcher applies several steps to gather the data: they are (1) identifying the data from the script; (2) categorizing the data into the kinds and forms of directive speech acts; (3) analyzing the data; (4) reporting the data.
RESULT AND DISCUSION
The finding of this research is based on various facts collected in the data. The researcher covers the identification of kinds of directive speech acts, presenting the data obtained from the data source. The researcher shows the finding of kinds of directive speech acts, and the forms of directive speech acts in sonic the hedgehog movie script. In

the identification and analyzed the data, the researcher used noted technique. The note of the kinds and the forms of directive speech acts evidence there are 82data utterances.

From the data above, the researcher concluded that there are 5 kinds of directive speech acts and devided into 3 form of directive speech acts and its in accordance with the theory by Yule.
CONCLUSION AND SUGGESTION
The result of this study has been done. Based on Yule, the kinds of directive speech acts in Sonic the Hedgedog movie are namely suggest, forbid and invite.Based on the analysis of the kinds of directive speech acts, there are 54 utterances of directive speech acts considered as command. It is the most common type of directive speech acts found in the analysis of the research. There are 11 utterances belong to request, 9 utterances belong to suggest, 6 utterances belong to forbid and 2 utterances belong to invite.
Besides, directive speech acts can be expressed in three form. They are imperative, declarative and interrogative. Those were divided into 52 data imperative, 10 data interrogative and 20 data declarative. Actually, Sonic the Hedgedog is the movie that is found the conflict and action in their daily activity. Therefore, the use of language is more briefly and straight to the point. Based on those explanation, directive speech acts occur in sonic the hedgehog movie script (2020) by Josh Miller. In fact, the researcher find there are so many directive speech acts use in sonic the hedgehog movie script.
The researcher hope, the result of this study can be used as a reference and give additional information for the readers who want to know about directive speech acts.
