Applications are invited for one position of Junior Research Fellow (Rs 25,000/-p.m.+HRA Rs.12,000/-+ HRA for non-NET qualified candidates ) for DBT project titled “Microbial roles in yield management of scented rice of north east India” with component entitled –
‘Functional analysis of endophytic microbiome for growth and antioxidant activity in black rice of North east India’ funded by Ministry of Science and Technology, DBT, Government of India for a period of three years. The post is purely temporary and coterminous with the project. The candidates should be M.Sc. in Microbiology with minimum of 55% marks. Candidates having knowledge of Microbiological and molecular biological techniques will be preferred.
Applicants may walk in for the interview on 02.01.17 in the department of Microbiology, Assam University, Silchar at 12 PM with bio-data and supporting documents in original. No TA//DA will be paid for attending interview.
