With approximately 4,097 students at the Silchar campus and 714 at the Diphu campus, the university is a melting pot of diverse communities, ideas and creativity. In order to acknowledge and recognize the competence of our students, the first week of May was held XIX. convocation of the University, from which 16024 students graduated.
Plans to launch some tailor-made programs 'Divyang population' are also in the pipeline. Assam University has a state-of-the-art fully digitized library which is a knowledge center serving students, researchers and faculty alike in their academic activities. With 'obstacles as springboards', the university looks forward to faster growth to meet rapidly changing global scenarios.
