FOURTH ALUMNI MEET (
28.10.2012)The Fourth Alumni Meet was held on the 28th of October 2012, made every heart blossom. The meeting began with a prayer song led by Miss. Yaminipriya and Miss.
Kalamathi by 10:00 am, in the Multipurpose hall of SOE, and Mr Kandavel (Secretary for students union) was the comparer of the program.
Chief Guest of the function, Prof. Dr. S. Ramachandran, Head, department of management, Sankara Arts and Science College, inaugurated the meet by lighting the lamp along with guest of honors Mr. Sankaran former faculty of SOE for teaching Tamil language and Mrs. Swarnalatha former faculty of SOE for teaching English language.
Prof. Dr. KVSN Murty Head, SOE, welcomed the gathering and stressed the importance of gaining knowledge with illustrations and quotes which enthralled the audience.
Chief Guest of the function Prof. Dr. S. Ramachandran, spoke on the importance of carrying relations in life by gaining new friends. He also advised the Alumni gathering for communicative skills.
It was time for reflections by the Alumni. Mr. Krishnan (2009-10 batch) working as Asst. Prof. in Education in DMI College of Education praised the institution for the knowledge and experience he has gained through the institution. This was followed by Mr. Manikantan (2010-2012) who got selection in Group II and Mrs. Revathy (2009-10 batch) appreciated the training offered by SOE in shaping teachers.
Mr. R. Saravanan, Asst Prof. in methods of teaching History, who is the Treasurer of Alumni association, introduced the Alumni members to the gathering. Guest of honor Mr. Sankaran, former faculty of SOE for teaching Tamil language and Mrs. Swarnalatha, former faculty of SOE for teaching English language shared their experiences in SOE. On behalf of department of SOE, Prof. Dr. KVSN Murty felicitated the both former language faculty members for the services rendered by them in SOE. Mr. Sankaran and Mrs.
Swarnalatha appreciated the department as the best in the Tamilnadu as in its kind and prized the efforts made by the department in molding teachers.
The selection of Alumni core members was a unanimous choice of the students.
