Third Sports Merit List
Guidelines for admission on the basis of Sports in Undergraduate Courses for the Academic Year 2020-2021.
Note: APPLICANTS OFFERED ADMISSION IN THE FIRST & SECOND SPORTS MERIT LISTS ARE NOT ELIGIBLE FOR ADMISSION IN THE THIRD SPORTS MERIT LIST.
1. Admission on the basis of Sports in UG Courses is available only for merit-based UG courses and is not available in courses where admission is based on an entrance test.
2. The allotment of College and Course to eligible applicants on the basis of Sports is done in a centralized manner by the University through Centralized Third Sports Merit List. The allotment of College and Course is based on the Rank of the applicant in the order of Centralized Sports Merit List and subject to availability of Game/Sport in the College.
3. However, allotment of a College and Course to the applicant is subject to fulfillment of course-specific eligibility criteria and conforming to University regulations.
4. The applicants are required to refer to the UG Bulletin of Information (http://www.du.ac.in/du/uploads/COVID-19/28062020_UG.pdf) for eligibility criteria. They must refer to guidelines for Admissions on the basis of Sports and course-specific eligibility criteria given in sections 2 & 6 of the Bulletin of Information for Admission to Undergraduate Courses 2020-21.
5. Applicants offered admission in the First & Second Sports Merit List are not Eligible for admission in the Third Sports Merit List.
6. The Centralized Third Sports Merit List of successful applicants along with the allotment of College and Course will be displayed on DU UG Admission Portal on Monday, 04th January, 2021. The applicants are required to complete the admission formalities in their respective allotted College and Course on DU UG Admission Portal by Thursday, 07th January, 2021. (Midnight). No further extra time will be given for completing the admission formalities including submission of the College admission fee.
7. An applicant’s name appearing in the Centralized Third Sports Merit List does not guarantee admission in any College and any Course. The admission of the applicant is subject to the fulfillment of course-specific eligibility criteria and the availability of Seats in a GAME /SPORT in the College and Rank in the order of Centralized Third Sports Merit List.
8. All admissions on the basis of Sports are provisional and subject to forensic examination/verification of the originals of uploaded Merit/Participation Sports Certificate/s of the applicant. An applicant submitting false/fake Merit/Participation
Sports Certificates for seeking admission on the basis of Sports shall be debarred from admission to any College for three years. Such admissions will be cancelled and FIR will be registered.
9. The successful applicant can login to her/his account and can find in Dashboard for the allotted College. The applicant is further advised to complete her/his admission formalities online within the stipulated time and pay the fees as per University guidelines. The stepwise procedure for admission is given in the following paragraph.
10.STEP BY STEP GUIDELINES FOR APPLICANT BELONGING TO SPORTS CATEGORY SEEKING ADMISSION TO UNDERGRADUATE COURSES IN THIRD SPORTS MERIT LIST 2020-2021.
1) DU UG Admission Portal will be opened on Monday, 04th January, 2021 under this category.
2) Applicant must Login to the DU UG Admission Portal using her/his registered e-mail address and Password. After successful login, she/he will be able to see their Dashboard.
3) The College and Course allotted to the applicant will be visible on their Dashboard from Monday, 04th January 2021 to Thursday, 07th January 2021.
4) The allotted College will “Approve” the admission after checking the eligibility criteria from Tuesday, 05th January 2021 to Thursday, 07th January, 2021. After the approval is done by the College the applicant can pay the fee through their Dashboard by Friday, 08th January 2021 (Midnight).
5) Once the payment is successfully done you will receive a confirmation email.
Congratulations, you have provisionally secured admission at University of Delhi.
However, if the document uploaded by the applicant is not legible/wrong/incomplete then the reason for the same shall be updated on their Dashboard. The applicant is advised to contact the respective College through the email (as mentioned on the College website).
Important Note:
1) The Course and College allotted to the applicant will be visible on their Dashboard.
2) The applicant is required to submit an UNDERTAKING BY THE PARENT AND STUDENT on the prescribed format available on the DU UG Admission Portal to the College at the time of completing the admission formalities online within the stipulated time.
3) No further request will be entertained by the University in case the applicant does not make the payment of fees within the stipulated time.
