IIT-Hyderabad PhD Scholar Quadir Moinuddin wins Weldwell Speciality Award

Dr Syed Quadir Moinuddin, PhD Scholar, Department of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering, IIT-Hyderabad, won the ‘Weldwell Speciality Award 2019’ given by IIW India (The Indian Institute of Welding), a member society of the International Institute of Welding. This is the third year in continuation a member of the group has won the award.Moinuddin’s thesis titled ‘Assessment of Arc Stability and its impact in antiphase synchronised twin-wire GMAW’ was adjudged by the Technical Committee as the Best PhD Thesis. He will also be presented Rs 10,000 cash prize for his work. The Award will be presented during the inaugural ceremony of International Congress-2020 (IC-2020) to be held at the CIDCO Exhibition Centre, Navi Mumbai on February 6.
