IIT PhD Admission 2020: Engineers can apply for PhD in Artificial Intelligence at IIT Hyderabad
IIT PhD Admission 2020 is currently being conducted at IIT Hyderabad, which has invited online applications from engineers for a PhD in artificial intelligence among others.
IIT PhD Admission 2020 is being conducted at IIT Hyderabad for several PhD programs starting in the July 2020 session. The relatively new department of the Indian Institute of Technology Hyderabad, the Department of Artificial Intelligence, is accepting online applications as well for its regular PhD program and direct PhD admission.
“The PhD students will be provided with excellent laboratory facilities that they can access at any time. The laboratories are equipped with state-of-the-art facilities including software and hardware (including high-end GPU servers). All the laboratories are provided with internet connectivity. The Department of AI seeks talented and dedicated PhD students to develop highly skilled human resources who can contribute to modern and cutting edge research and industrial demand in AI,” says the IIT Hyderabad website.
Who is Eligible to Apply for the IIT PhD Admission 2020?
Candidates who have completed their MTech or equivalent degree in computer science, electrical and communications engineering, electrical and electronics engineering or related areas in artificial intelligence can apply for the PhD in the Department of AI. Students in their final year can also apply provided they complete the degree by the time of admission into the PhD program.
Those who hold a BTech, BE, MCA, MSc, or equivalent degree in any engineering discipline or Maths, and have a valid GATE score in CS, EC, EE, MA, or ST can also apply for the Direct Phd admission.
How to Apply for the IIT PhD Admission 2020?
Interested and eligible candidates can apply on the official IIT Hyderabad website until 15 April 2020 4 pm IST. Candidates will first need to register with the website with a valid login id, email address and password. After logging in, the ‘Click here to apply’ button needs to be clicked after which the department can be chosen by clicking on the arrow of the
corresponding department. Updated applications can then be saved or submitted. There is also an online application fee of Rs 300 that needs to be paid; however, for SC, ST, PwD and females it is Rs 150.
