INAUGURATION OF ENGLISH LITERARY ASSOCIATION

English literary association was inaugurated in the Multipurpose Hall of School of Education on 9^th March 2016. The programme started with a prayer. Ms. Subahsree, Student Teacher has sung the prayer song. Prof. Dr. K.V.S.N.Murty, Dean Faculty of Education lighted the traditional lamp. Mr. K.U.Giridhar Asst. Professor and Mrs.J. Jayapriya Asst. Professor also lighted the lamps. The dean welcomed the participants of the programme and gave the welcome address. The Dean advised the student teachers to improve their communicative skills in English.

The Special Guest of the program Ms. J. Margrate, Asst.Prof, Dept.of.English, Pachaiyappa’s College for Women, Kancheepuram was felicitated with a shawl and memento by Dean Prof.

K.V.S.N.Murty. In her keynote address the special guest spoke on the recent trends of English Language Teaching scenario in our country. Mr. S.Ethiraj Asst.Professor gave the vote of thanks.

The programme ended with national anthem. The event was compeered by Ms. V.K.Gayathri student teacher.
