BACKGROUND
Centre for Pharmaceutical Sciences, IST, JNTUH Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University, Hyderabad was established on 2nd October, 1972 with the objective of strengthening and improving the standards of technological education. The University is located in the heart of the city at Kukatpally, Hyderabad. The Centre for Pharmaceutical Sciences was established in 2007 at Institute of Science and Technology, JNTUH by introducing M. Pharm.
Course with the specialization of Pharmaceutical Analysis and Quality Assurance, Pharmaceutics and Pharmacognosy have been added to the crown of M.
Pharm. The faculty members are highly qualified, well experienced who are always engaged in teaching and research by working on the sophisticated instruments like HPLC, GC, FTIR, HPTLC, ZETA SIZER, Microwave Synthesizer and other allied equipments.
Active research is going on currently in the fields of Pharmaceutical sciences. The centre has received several grants from funding agencies viz., UDF, UGC, AICTE, DST- FIST and DST-SERB worth of Rs. 3 crores.
Objectives of the FDP:
The ultimate aim of this STTP is
➢ To train the trainers of academia in online education.
➢ To impart and inculcate proper understanding of the teaching learning & research strategies.
➢ To introduce and use of online educational tools.
➢ To enhance the quality of teaching and learning
➢ To improve the technical skills of teachers
➢ Interaction with researchers and ICT personnel for individual improvement
