It's a great pleasure to announce that IPS, New Delhi is organizing IPS Zonal Meeting and National Symposium on “Innovative strategies for the management of plant disease under climate change scenario"
on December 19, 2017 at IARI, New Delhi.
On behalf of organizing committee, I am extending invitation to all of you for your active participation in the National Symposium.
Climate change influence the dynamics of occurrence, prevalence and severity of plant diseases, disease management measures and their utilization within integrated disease management (IDM) strategies. Improved understanding of the plant disease and management strategies makes a major contribution to both climate-change mitigation and sustainable crop production systems to ensure global food security.

Abstract submission for poster presentation
Points to be noted before submission of abstracts

Abstracts (in 250 words) should be prepared in MS Word, Times New Roman, 12 font size.
Last date of abstract submission is 5 th
December 2017. Abstracts should be submitted in electronic form only as e-mail attachment to Dr. Atul Kumar, Zonal President

• Submission of abstract will not ensure automatic acceptance
• Contents of the abstracts will be edited as per the requirement
• Abstracts should be based on the recent work done by the author(s)
• Selection of an abstract for poster will be based on the volume and quality of data being presented
A preliminary selection for this award will be held and two names shall be recommended for the national contest at annual meeting of IPS. Members (Delhi Zone) are invited to participate in this contest in single or joint authorship. The maximum age for the contestant is 35 years. Contestant will provide an abstract about 250 words alongwith brief biodata to the zonal president before 5 December 2017.th
APS Travel Award for Ph.D. Students
American Phytopathological Society, USA has offered the travel award to a Ph.D.
student, who is a member of IPS in 2017.
Competitions among Ph.D. students in IPS- Delhi zone will be held during the symposium. There is no age limit for the presenting author. The awardee will be chosen from the top student zonal presenter in National Symposium. Contestant will provide an abstract in about 250 words alongwith brief biodata to the zonal president before 5 December 2017.th
The terms and conditions for participating in APS meeting is as follows:
• The fund will be reimbursed to the awardee for return airfare from India to the meeting venue, accommodation, and incidentals
• The awardee is expected to bear the cost of meeting registration.
• There will be no financial liability of the IPS.
• All the contestant/recipients should be the member of the Society during the year of presentation.
