UNIT – I

1. (a) Categorize the different hub classifications described in the NPIAS?

(b) Criticize public relations role is an important function of airport management? [7M]

2. (a) Write the short note on national plan of integrated airport systems (NASP), and its categories.

(b) What was the function of DLAND? Discuss the role of complexity of airline planning. [7M]

UNIT – II

3. (a) Describe briefly about the historical development of airport terminals with neat sketch [7M]

(b) List out the different types of signs that are located on an airfield? How are they marked? What

do they mean? [7M]

4. (a) Classify types of airport beacons exist? What do the different lighting combinations mean? [7M]

(b) List out the different classes of airspace that exist in the current NAS? How do these classes vary

in location and air traffic control regulations? [7M]

UNIT – III

5. (a) List the equipment’s in general aviation airport? Why is a snow and ice control plan so important

at some airports? [7M]

(b) What are some of the control techniques associated with bird and wildlife hazard management?

6. (a) When do airports have to conduct a study and provide a wild life management program? Discuss the hazards that can be caused by birds at airports and various techniques that are used to

(b) Analyze the queuing theory to estimate delays in general and in the context of airports? [7M]
