CONVOCATION '13
Instruction /Guidelines to the Graduands :
Welcome to the privileged graduands of the Golden Jubilee year convocation.
Convocation is a solemn occasion. Please maintain the sanctity of the occasion by strictly adhering to the following guidelines:
Registration starts at 7.00 a.m. and closes by 9.30 a.m. sharp. This is to ensure sufficient time to arrange the degree certificates etc. Inform this to all your friends who have come to receive their degree in person to avoid disappointment.
Maintain silence and discipline while convocation is in progress. You might have received your certificate. Remember, there are others waiting to received theirs.
Quickly and gently form a queue on the floor of the BARN. Do not 'Q' on the dais.
Walk up briskly to the centre of the dais, bow gracefully, receive your degree and walk back to your seat.
If by any remote chance your folder happens to contain another person's certificate, don't be perturbed. Collect it all the same, as if it is yours, and walk back to your seat.
Your certificate is safe.
Convocation ends only when the academic procession leaves BARN completely and the Band stops playing. Until such time keep standing, maintaining silence.
Switch off your mobile (not silence mode). Once in a while let others know that you are also busy!
Official photographer will take your picture, which will be uploaded in this website.
Do not take photos while the convocation is in progress. Official photographer is the only authorized photographer.
Do not clap during the event.
Movement inside and at the far end of the BARN, or walking in /walking out of the BARN is strictly prohibited.
Convocation is not like a CT. Its like end-sem. Its long. Hence come loaded with tons of patience. After all this is the one and only privileged Golden Jubilee Convocation batch!
