1. The first meeting of IQAC started at 10.00 am, with welcome address by Dr. P. Jayalakshmi, Principal of the college.

2. The minutes of the last meeting held on 12th February 2015 was confirmed unanimously by the members.

3. Dr. R. Sampath Kumar, IQAC Co-ordinator, presented the progress of the college since the last meeting.

➢ The English department has submitted proposal to conduct International Workshop and Symposia for the academic year 2015-16.

4. CA. P. Prakash, external member appreciated the faculty members who have attended Refresher/Orientation course and Faculty Development Programmes.

5. The IQAC co-ordinator read out the following achievements and activities of the College during the academic year 2014-15.

Department of Statistics organised a two day National level seminar on “Recent Developments in Statistical Models and Methods – 2014” during 27-28th August 2014.

Department of TTM organized a National Seminar on “One Billion Tourists-One Billion Opportunities”.

Department English organised a Two day National level seminar on “Contemporary Literary Theory and Practice” sponsored by UGC

Department of Public Administration organized a workshop on Character and values sponsored by UGC on 24-03-2015.

➢ One of the students of our college has been selected for studies in abroad program sponsored by the Tamil Nadu State Council for Higher Education.

6. The IQAC Co-ordinator presented the Annual Quality Assurance Report (AQAR) for the year 2014 – 2015. The members approved the same.

7. All the members appreciated the steps taken by the management towards quality enhancement.

8. The meeting ended with thanks from the IQAC Co-ordinator.

4. Mr. M. Ananthakrishnan, external member suggested that the faculty members to publish more research articles in the reputed journals
