Heartfelt Greetings from the School of Education, Pondicherry University in the threshold of New Year 2019! With immense pleasure, we welcome you to the Two Day III International Conference on “Wellness Education” – ‘ICWE 2019’ organized by us from 18.01.2019 to 19.01.2019. We look forward for your valuable Participation and Presentation of Thematic/Research Articles in the Sessions leading to the success of the Conference.

ABOUT THE CONFERENCE

The International Conference Wellness Education – ICWE – 2019 Organized By School of Education, Pondicherry University focuses at fostering and enhancing the quality of each individual’s life. Participants from all over the World may use this conference as a stage to share and discuss the latest Trends, Issues and Knowledge related to Sustainable Development, Good Health both Physical, Mental and ensuring overall Health.

Wellness Minds of all ages are the great Assets of the Nation.

OBJECTIVES OF THE CONFERENCE

 ICWE-2019 will

 Deliberate on Health Policies, Integrated Health Care Models, etc.

 Enhance the knowledge of Teachers upon Social Work leading to the upliftment of Student Community

 Facilitate cross cultural debates and responses to the difficulties experienced by Health Care Providers

 Develop collaboration between academic institutions to establish Consortiums to do research and develop Global Models of Wellness Education

ABOUT PONDICHERRY UNIVERSITY

What Makes Pondicherry University Different from the rest, is that We Provide Opportunities to Grow, Freedom to Think, Ambience for Innovation, Democracy with Discipline and Liberty with Accountability. Pondicherry University, the Central University was established in Oct 1985 by an Act of Parliament and has celebrated its Silver Jubilee. It is spread over land sprawling, lush green, Wi-Fi enabled campus of more than 800 acres.

It has emerged as one of the fastest expanding Central University of India offering a wide range of 159 Programmes under 14 Schools and 9 Centres. It provides the most conducive environment for pursuing Tertiary Level Education. The main objective of the University is to remain connected globally, at the Forefront of all the Institutions of Teaching, Learning and Research.

LOCATION OF THE UNIVERSITY

Pondicherry University is located about 165 km south of Chennai Metropolis. It is well connected by road, rail and air. It is situated on the Chennai Puducherry East Coast Road (ECR), where Buses ply frequently from Chennai Koyambedu (CMBT) Bus Stand and stop at the University Gates. This is the most convenient route to reach the University.

ABOUT THE SCHOOL OF EDUCATION

The School of Education was established in 2007. With its competent Faculty, the School offers various Programmes. The Masters in Education Programme (M.Ed.,) provides opportunities for the capacity building of future Teacher Educators. The School lays emphasis on Course papers viz., Educational Technology, Teacher Education, Special Education, Educational Planning and Administration, Value Education, Environmental Education, ELT and Guidance & Counseling. The Ph.D., Programme is offered in the broad area of Education and its Allied Disciplines promoting Educational Research on an Interdisciplinary perspective.

SUBMISSION / FORMAT OF THE PAPERS Original and Unpublished Thematic or Research Papers are invited. The article must be typed in MS Word, Times New Roman, 12 Font size with 1.5 line space and should not exceed 4pages of A4 size (APA Format).

Hard copy and Soft copy (CD) of the Abstract and Full Paper must be sent to the Organising Secretary. The Soft copy must be mailed to:
