FACULTY INDUCTION PROGRAMME

Mahatma Gandhi National Council of Rural Education (MGNCRE) under the Department of Higher Education in the Ministry of Human Resource Development, Government of India is located at Hyderabad. Through our Faculty Development Centre (FDC) sanctioned by the Ministry we would be conducting Faculty Induction Programme for the teachers working in the field of Higher Education under the scheme of Pandit Madan Mohan Malviya National Mission on Teachers and Teaching (PMMMNMTT). We will be conducting the Induction programme in three batches and the Second Batch of Faculty Induction Programme scheduled from 02-12-18 to 30-12-2018. This programme is tailed to be very helpful in the academic upgradation of teachers working in universities and colleges. It also is for innovation and development in different areas of education. This programme will focus on the role of teachers in the field of higher education and the areas of responsibility, new methods of learning and other innovation areas.
According to the UGC Rules, 2018, Number 18 (7-8), the Induction Programme or Orientation Programme is mandatory for newly appointed teachers in universities and colleges. This programme, oraganized by the Faculty Development Centre of Mahatma Gandhi National Council of Rural Education, is on par with Orientation Programme organized by the UGC / MHRD.
Salient features of this programme are:
1. Participants who attend this programme are eligible to get appropriate score in their Academic Performance Indicators (API)
2. Participants are given due consideration in Career Advancement Scheme (CAS).
3. The Course Certificate is on par with Orientation Course as approved by UGC-New Delhi
To participate in the programme, the interested Faculty has to submit the filled in application form as enclosed along with the consent of the Head of the Department/Institution Head/University Head to the E-mail ID: [email protected] on or before 27-11-18. In this Faculty Induction Programme, about 40 participants will be selected per batch on the basis of criteria set by a Committee set up by the Council.
The list of selected participants will be uploaded on the Council’s website.
Other necessary information related to the programme will be uploaded on the Council’s website and provided through E-mail to the selected participants.
