JNTUH-CEH Hyderabad Campus About the Work Shop
Demand for more electric power coupled with depleting conventional resources has motivated researchers the area of energy production from renewable energy sources. Solar and wind power has become more and more significant and attractive because of their abundant nature. These sources are dependent on environmental conditions like solar irradiance and wind speed. Individually these sources cannot provide continuous power supply. To address this challenge renewable sources are combined with sources like energy storage systems and fuel cells.
This work shop is intended to cover the role of power converters and control techniques in renewable energy conversion systems like solar, wind ,Hybrid systems. Challenges are involved in grid connected operation of the renewable energy systems. Mitigation techniques should be identified to overcome the challenges for reliable operation .
